Chris is now ranked #5 behind #1 Connor Cook, #2 Nate Sudfeld, #3 Cardale Jones, and #4 CJ Beathard

Cardale Jones at number 3 tells you all you need to know about the legitimacy of this poll.

ESPN's QB ratings also ranks Ryan Fitzpatrick ahead of Tom Brady or Aaron Rodgers...

http://espn.go.com/nfl/qbr

You are going to sit here and tell me actually you think Fitzpatrick is a better and more effective QB this season? You take Fitz and ill take the other guys and lets see who wins more games, puts up better numbers this season, etc. Want to bet on it? Ill even give you great odds! If not, stop posting this garbage...its meaningless and absolutely frivolous.

You really are going to keep linking that when THESE are his real, per game, QBR's (link attached as well):

A QBR of 2.7??? Wow.

Actually, he should be somewhere in the 20s..OSU and numerous other teams have 2-3 better QBs than him.

GREAT POST! And even better how you provided supporting evidence to back up your opinion.

And considering Rutgers has faced the #1, #2 & #5 Big ten passing defenses (pass defense efficiency) in the past three games, I know know you and were not surprised at the lack of success from our passing game over that span. Quite the gauntlet for two first year QB’s. Thankfully most people understand and have not been too critical of these young QB's. Great that we have such supportive fans when the kids are facing some steep challenges on the field. And certainly there will be improvement in the last two big Ten games as RU will face the #10 and #13 Big Ten defenses in the final two conference games.

LOL - once again you fail to look at ALL the facts! Laviano's best games have come, by far, against AWFUL pass defenses! Facts are facts my friend:

Norfolk State - #78 IN THE FCS
Wazzou - 74th
MSU - 86th
Indiana - 103rd
Kansas - 125th

...hey, he's young, I don't expect miracles, but when he's not even close to wide open WR's or TE's, and throwing as many balls into the turf as into hands, it's simply time to "try" something different.

What are you talking about ??? Take your head out of your AZZ? I did not ignore anything. I simply stated who Rutgers played in their last 3 games and stated who they will be playing in the last two? Did I make any comment about any other aspect of his play or performance? what is your problem ? And thanks captain obvious...... Our QB accumulated most of his stats against the lesser defenses we played ! What a revelation.

So it's okay for YOU to be "Captain Obvious," and mention the last 3 games were against the 3 best D's we've played, but not for me to point out that his best games came against atrocious pass D's?

Yeah, okay, keep fightin' the good fight, and get YOUR "head of of your AZZ" (whatever the f* that is...).

no touchdowns in last 3 games... I hardly call that "lack of success"

You're right. Since scoring more points than the other team wins football games, I'd call that ZERO success.

Slyker is literally the best troll I've ever come across on the web. Not even mad at what he says. I'm actually very impressed

Well since you've inquired, Yes, I do think it is ok for me to mention this, and feel it is my duty to do so ! Apparently this fact is NOT OBVIOUS TO ANYONE posting on this board, since all I have read recently is how bad Laviano has done in those past three games without ANY recognition at all of the quality of the defenses that RU played in those games. Nor did I hear anything from anyone recognizing that other power 5 teams and their QB's have had similar statistical days against those same defenses. The only thing that is obvious is that people are analyzing those performances in a vacuum. It's almost as if people are intentionally ignoring this fact when discussing CL's performance to help them make their point. But no -one would ever do that, would they?

I can't wait for this week's addition of this thread by kbee. Slyker comments will be more inept as well

Apparently you haven't yet seen his latest mental gymnastics in the thread "Chris is our Starting Quarterback" (for Army).

What do you expect from a guy who started a thread if intentional grounding was considered in passing stats. Shows you his football IQ
