Let this be a Hard lesson learned on here & other recruiting boards, keep any & all information your not 100% certain off the boards..

Many swore "worse case scenario" on Carroo's incident & also had Flood fired several weeks ago..

In the future, please do us all a favor & just keep the information too yourself & don't rush to judgment!!!!!

haha--rushing to judgement if it's an RU negative is a way of life to many around here

What? The board know-it-alls aren't supposed to pass off conjecture as inside information? Stop it Bori, just stop.

I think they're voicing an opinion, even if it's wrong.
Shoot a guy down for a dumb opinion, let him know why his opinion is ridiculous, but don't tell tell him to not post it. JMO:D
If it's just fabricated look at me troll stuff, that's different.

Props to the OP. There are 3 or 4 other prominent posters here who need to do the same. Their credibility took a major hit on this board. I won't name them, but everyone knows who they are.

Those folks weren't giving opinions. They were stating facts, as if they knew. As we have seen, doing so is pretty unintelligent.

Will those other folks step up like the OP? I doubt it, but you never know.

Well done, Bori.

Being on this board for over 10 years you learn quickly to never rush to judgment!

I could be wrong but I don't think Bori is coming out to admit HE was wrong as much as to highlight this episode as the latest example as to why those folks you are referring to should learn the lesson.

Normally I have a hard time remembering what I did last week much less what a specific poster has said on this site, but this time I can clearly recall some of the names you are thinking of. I got into some good back and forth with several of them. Something I don't normally do either.

Way of the world now. NEVER admit when you are/were wrong. (personally I think that adds to one's character. Not detract from it.)

As I understood today's story in the Philadelphia Inquirer, the criminal charge and the domestic violence cases went away because the alleged victim said she did not want to testify. She didn't say she made it up, or anything like that. So really we still don't know what happened. Claims that such and such poster were right or wrong are thus not well-taken.

I watched and waited for this to happen. PAID OFF HANDSOMELY. I am still waiting and watching for our team's performance to pay off similarly.

i made no comments regarding Carroo incident, just to clear that up..

..But on the other hand, Carroo and his lawyers have stated that he never even touched the alleged victim, and only got involved by removing his girlfriend from the fight. Clearly, they could have fought this further but it was in Carroo's best interest for this case to come to a quick resolution. You're right that we may never know what actually happened. But given the legal system we have, those posters who either stated as fact or are still insisting that he did something wrong (besides exercising semi-poor judgment in leaving the Hale Center) leave themselves open to criticism.

Let's not forget that based on the video, the alleged victim also dodges charges of filing a false police report by agreeing to this.

Can you imagine the backlash if she came out and admitted she made it up or even embellished on what really happened? The video sure seemed to back up Caroo's version more than the "alleged" victim. For the record I think this is my first post on this topic.

Maybe you've seen a different video than I have, but the one I saw showed exactly sixteen seconds of a multiple-minute incident -- poor proof as to what went on. And, as you know as a lawyer, there are *lots* of reasons why complaining witnesses decide not to go forward. She may have believed that she couldn't prove her case, but there might be many other reasons as well.

*Everyone* who stated anything as *fact* has left themselves open to criticism. We simply don't know what happened, and probably we never will. The only intelligent posters were those who stressed that we had to wait and see what facts came out.

Turns out my suggested outcome was spot on, and those who said there was no way that was happening were wrong. Glad to see it work out for the best. Welcome back LC.
