I attended last year's game in Seattle and rode the train back downtown with a bunch of Wazzou fans. All very nice folks. Their summary: "We (Wazzou) Coug-ed it."
Wazzou inexplicably lost to Portland State today - a PSU team that was 3-9 last year (and lost to Wazzou 59-21).
This year, Wazzou was supposed to have an inconsistent (though lauded) QB, a ton of WRs, crappy running game and pretty much no defense. Leach has been there for a number of years, so pretty much everyone expects significant improvement over last year.
I am looking at the box score - Wazzou went for it on 4th down 8 times (made 7), but were lousy on 3rd down. The Cougs also lost the turnover battle 2-0. But the stat that really jumps out at me is the PSU rushing yards - 233!
One thing has me worried - the dreaded backup a QB (a RU nemesis for .... ever). Wazzou's starting QB was hurt late in the game.
