It can't hurt. It would help our strength of schedule given we beat them head to head. It would help them too, but they would have to jump over a more than just us to make it in.
As I said before ... the loss to Delaware is just like the women's BB loss to UMASS ... kept RU out of NCAA the year they won the NIT.Exactly. We shouldn't be penalized that much for a loss to Delaware. We scheduled Brown, Army, Princeton, and Stony Brook. And even Fairfield on the road is no cake walk. We won our games. And you know what, Denver lost in their first round game to Marquette. Their resume is not that lofty.

We need to be big OSU fans tonight. A B1G Crown for OSU would be massive for us. Also root for Brown to win the Ivy and Boston U to beat Duke. That isn't true. We'd likely be in a very similar position if we had beaten them. The bigger issue was not beating Maryland. That would have changed so much.
A win over ND doesn't look as good now. A win over Army looks better that it did 3 minutes ago.
But with the recent history with declining attendance does the committee stick with the traditional powers for attendance reasons.
Read somewhere that RU was just outside Top 10 in Lax attendance...and that was with ice cold games vs Brown and Princeton.Maybe. We had great attendance at the Maryland and OSU games. It's very important we grow on that moving forward.

http://www.onthebanks.com/2017/5/3/...se-is-a-good-draw-big-ten-lacrosse-attendanceThat's great. Where did you see that?
Amd there might be your reason/answer.One thing is for sure. There isn't a team projected to be in that tournament that we can't beat.
I really expect Delany to change the format of the Tourney next year to a 3 vs 6, 4 vs 5 with byes for 1st and 2nd seeds. The B1G is going to be a bloodbath from here on out, and Michigan will pay top dollar for an elite coach for next year.Amd there might be your reason/answer.
Bill Tierney. Thats the only reason. This to me is a big issue. Each team should make the tournament. Having the number 11 team sit home without an opportunity is poor management from a conference perspective.
And yea, I don't know why Denver is rated so highly. They beat Duke and ND early in the season, and neither of those wins is look as great right now.
And if you watched any of their game yesterday, no team in the tournament is scared of playing Denver.
Umm conference top 4 did not work out well for them last year. One little fing ball not hitting a goalie helmet in double OT and RU ranked top 5The guys on BTN last night after Maryland beat OSU were not optimistic about Rutgers getting in. Essentially said with Denver losing Marquette stole our bid. Too bad. Had plenty of opportunities in the Maryland game and really just did not play well at PSU. Maybe we get lucky but it sounds like with 12 team tournament, they are not putting 5 BIG teams in there. We needed to be in the conference top four.
Yea the champ made it and the 4th best team Hopkins made it. Didn't Hopkins proceed to shit the bed in the first round last year too? NCAA called that one correctly.Umm conference top 4 did not work out well for them last year. One little fing ball not hitting a goalie helmet in double OT and RU ranked top 5
Nah ND has earned their stripes fair and square. They belong in. Duke on the other hand over RU is bullshit, especially if they lose to Boston U today. We're 8-5----not 8-6------ beat Maryland , Ohio State and road win at Duke. Our SOS is as good as anyone's in the country.
We have 3 1 goal losses-----Cuse , Denver and Army.----all Top 20 with 2 of them on the road.
We didn't get run out of the stadium by Delaware , Penn St and Johns Hopkins.
Now are we a great team ? Far from it as we're banged up and hurt but to suggest that Rutgers would go in ahead of us is silly.
Cali is right----it's a wide open tournament.
Agreed...whole body of work from Opening Day until Selection Sunday. The NCAA needs to change the formula for the AQ bids. A conference championship from a tournament carries way too much weight. Im fine with an AQ from each conference but regular season should take precedence imo. There is no reason UNC should be in this tournament with their losses. The tournaments should only be used to settle tie breakers in regular season standings.
I think they are targeting Marquette's HC personally.I agree on all points and when Michigan hires a real coach they'll be running the Big Ten within 3 years.
If BU did win, I would not be shocked if Duke still got in.Nah ND has earned their stripes fair and square. They belong in. Duke on the other hand over RU is bullshit, especially if they lose to Boston U today.
