Lose to Fordham, Lose to Buffalo (FB) which is worse?

Fordham is worse, especially considering half the fans were RU fans. Buffalo is quite good in football...and basketball. Who’s their AD?

There are two ways to look at this, and each gives you a different answer.

1. Football you have an entire week to prepare for. All of your efforts for six days are focused on one opponent. You scheme for that opponent. You prepare to defend that opponent. A loss to an inferior team is inexcusable.

2. Buffalo is a far better football (and basketball) program than is Rutgers, while Fordham has been struggling for most of the time it has been in the A-10. Losing to Fordham, home or away, just isn't a good sign, while Buffalo has something pretty good going on. A loss to Fordham is inexcusable.

Of course, there is a third factor, as Buffalo was a home game and Fordham was a road game.

Empirically, the Fordham loss is worse. But a bad loss in basketball is, usually, far more excusable than a bad loss in football.

Buffalo was worse because honestly they could have hung 50 on us but they decided not to. Football also doesn’t resemble an actual team. Basketball actually has competent players on the offensive aide of the ball who have potential. We’re not a “good” team. We have to show up with our “A” game every night. When we don’t, we get this

Basketball passes the eye test (except for tonight). Football doesn't.

I compare this to the Eastern Michigan football loss.
They had never beaten a Big Ten team until the Ash mistake.

Now a Big Ten basketball team has lost to Fordham
which I believe is also a first.

There is no hope for football under Ash.While there is still hope for men's bb .
The entire athletic department under Barch is a TOTAL failure and all Hobbs does is solidify that lack of success.

The bad Rutgers losses could fill a journal that should be hidden in a library.

Worst thing that happened to Rutgers was that Fordham lost to Maine, Honor went for 29 yesterday. When Fordham lost to Houston Baptist their other loss, Honor went for 30 and they beat a now 7-2 FIU team.

That EMU team went to a bowl. This Fordham team is going to finish last in the A-10.

The Buffalo loss in FB is worse and I am a much bigger BB fan. Buffalo destroyed us at home. Destroyed us. Fordham beat us by 8 at their place. Road game. Not minimizing Fordham loss as it was awful but in comparison the Buffalo loss is worse. Plus in basketball, you face a hot kid as Honor was and that'll do the trick. Honor by the way is averaging about 20 a game. He's also real good. Both losses are awful and should never have occurred.

Fordham is a worse loss. In me eye, because we keep saying how we’ve upgraded our talent and it was a freshman back court that killed us. None of our young have shown an ability to take over like that.
