Never thought I would like the guy but he is really becoming a good commentator. Watching the Bahamas Bowl now and he has a good sense of humor and of course uses a lot of coach speak but he's enjoyable to listen to.

He's really a good guy. I met and spoke to him for twenty minutes 1993 when he was HC of North Carolina and they were going up against USC and their pompous coach John Robinson in his second stint as HC of SC. It was the Pigskin Classic in Anaheim Stadium and all of the prognosticators had picked USC in a romp. Instead North Carolina destroyed SC 31-9 embarrassing SC and their arrogant coach Robinson. I became a fan of Mack Brown ever since.

Nice guy. But that voice? Sounds like he's conjuring Mr. Haney from that old "Green Acres" TV show.
