We outscored MD in the paint, by 28 to 20.

We did that by a lot of great plays, great feeds to the bigs on the inside.

And sure, Stasha had 18 points.

But Stasha's 6 for 13 FGs was mostly because of missed layups. Consistently she went up strong in crowds, but then didn't finish. Victoria also.

If we can keep up that great feeding to the inside and then also improve that finish percentage, watch out.

I agree with you 100%. Maryland was a bigger team than us, which was part of the problem, but they need to find a way to overcome that. Watching the game yesterday, we noticed that with Stasha in particular. Vicki has an additional problem as she seems to get called for offensive fouls fairly often on her moves to the basket. She was only called for it once yesterday, but I have noticed it in several games so far this season.

Admittedly, I don't watch all the games, but I saw they were leading at the half yesterday and put the game on BTN+ to watch the second half. I also saw a bit of Northwestern. Lots of missed layups, but many were forced against the collapsing D. Appreciate the offensive rebounding, but you'd like to see them pass out of those situations to open players around the perimeter. Still a great win yesterday!

Another HUGE stat from a team that has struggled with turnovers for the year: Against MD, they had 18 assists to ONLY 13 turnovers. I believe in the past CVS has said her goal for any game is 10 or fewer TOs, but 13 is still a very low #.
