Medical Issue around Section 110 during game

Does anyone have details about the medical issue that arose during the game around the cannon? Saw someone got taken out in an ambulance. I was a few rows from the gentleman who passed from complications arising from a heart attack a few years ago and hoping for the best for the person yesterday.

It looked like one of the cannon operators collapsed, was removed on a stretcher and taken to the hospital. I'm not sure of further specifics.

Was definitely one of the cannon crew but no idea what happened.

One of the cannon crew went down ( not certain why). I sit in section 108, originally thought something happened upon firing of the cannon, didn't sound right. He left on stretcher and seemed to be awake with oxygen when driving by. No clue what happened or outcome. Hope everything ended up being okay.

Saw him on the golf stretcher cart in the tunnel. He was awake and joking with the EMT and smiling, so he seemed alright.

Someone else was taken out of Section 132 by EMTs in a stair chair late in the 1st quarter. He appeared to be largely unresponsive and EMTs were supporting his head as they lifted him onto the concourse. Hope he was alright.

Getting drunk and passing out is a real medical condition. It is alcohol poisoning...

Try using it to transport a 250+lb guy out of a narrow cramped basement. It's useful but a pain in the ass to use imo.

Well, the real medical condition is called "stupid", but you are right, one of the symptoms is alcohol poisoning.

I might have been tempted to go with a Reeves under those circumstances, if there was sufficient manpower. Stair chairs are for going down the stairs, not so much up the stairs.

A cramped space makes it impossible to really use reaves on a heavy guy since you can't have guys on the side so it's pretty much down to 2 people at the head and foot of the reaves.

I took a fat lady up out of a basement on a reeves once - you're right, any manpower on the sides is difficult. What I did was put a FF underneath - he went up the stairs on all fours with part of her weight on his back. My guess is that we still each had about 100 lbs. of her, but it wasn't that bad.

What I've also done is strap the reeves to a backboard and slide. That works really well, other than having to negotiate corners.

What's really bad is getting somebody up (or down) a cramped flight of stairs when you're CPR in-prog.
