Men’s lacrosse recruits

Sorry, I planned on doing this sooner but I got busy. I will try and go over the over all class but i do not know all of them. First off do not get to crazy about All-American selections.
Overall, the staff needed to find answer in the goal and at the face-off X I think that they have done both. if you add Yousefi to Ott when he gets healthy you could have a good pairing and then add the kid coming in the 2020 class and that could be real good but, they are probably still going to struggle some at the X.
they are bringing in 3 goalies and this is most likely because they were concerned that one of their kids would not be returning but he is and now they have 6 goalies. All of the new kids bring something to the table. Carbone is a 1 year transfer and he comes from Long Island's Chaminade HS. It would be great to open a pipeline into that school. The freshman Groff is a big athletic kid who looks very good in his highlights and could possibly be a multi year starter. the last one (Russo) is the one I would watch put for he played at Cleveland State and played against some very good competition (Played OSU, PSU and UM) the kid is a solid keeper and has the most/best experience of any goalie in the locker room.
It is going to be tough for any of the offensive players to break into this lineup especially at attack. Almand was and Under Armor underclass kid twice and he was invited to the U-19 tryouts. I would think that you may see about 4 of the offensive players get a shot including him, Carter, Ringer and Neal are most college ready in terms of size and ability. Do not forget that we also get Demetrious Stevenson back from injury this year and hopefully he is also a full go.
defensively, I think that they have some holes to fill and Transfer Andersen, Crosby and Jones will get some early look. Crosby looks fast and athletic on film but someone I know will be at practice next week and I will be better answer then.
Thanks! Solid seems to sum it up well.

The current class is about to be released tomorrow. Fam- sent you a text. Do you know the Neal kid? Looks like he had a monster year in NJ.

I coached against Neal. Definitely have insight on him.

I'm late to the party on the conversation though, been a busy few weeks.

What’s your thoughts?

Good player with some elite moments. His team beat us but we shut him down (we were very young and injury bitten last year). Also helped come up with the game plan to knock them out of states.

Has very good eyes and a good stick. Sees the field very, very well. In high school, and club, did a nice job of creating double teams and finding cutters. Does a very nice job of not telgraphing his passes at all. He is not a physical player and am interested to how he is going to respond to physical play. He likes to dodge from x to get top side past a defender. If he does not get even, or get top side, he was taken out of his game.

Really great great personality wise and has the stick to be an elite player. Getting him into the weight room will be huge for him. He is a competitor so I expect him to want to go out and get it. I heard the other kid from his team, Cansfield, had an opportunity to come to Rutgers also but decided not to play.

They have another big left attackmen (cant remember is he is 2020 or 2021) who I think is better than both Neal and Cansfield. Interested to see if Rutgers goes after him.

Thanks for your take. Is he an attackman or middie or both?

From what I am hearing, I think 3-4 young guys are going get serious looks. I wouldn't expect any of those to be on the attack line. That group has to be one of the top 5 or so in the country.

I really hope AC stays healthy. If he does, I think we are going to something historic.

Amazing what that kid did last year without even practicing.
