I know the reviews thus far have not been particularly good but I watched the first half and they looked very good. I thought they allowed IU to control the game a bit after scoring the second goal but then they got a third from Hackett. I know is not vintage IU but coming out of this with a W could really build some momentum. Team looks like they have some talent to me.
Depends where the "reviews" are coming from, too, as a couple of posters here can't stand DD and do nothing but rip him and the team apart, every chance they get, so take their words with a "grain of salt." Could easily be 3-1-1 right now tough loss to Wiscy last week in 2OT.
Now let's protect the lead and get the "W"!

The people I have seen question Donnigan are pretty close to the program. And let's not forget, his record at RU isn't exactly incredible, nor is losing the talent he has.

Dan has a lot of work to do, and hasn't lived up to even my expectations, no doubt, but there are critics and there are haters. Regardless, as you said, let's close it out here 18:00 to go!
Excellent result. Very impressed with what I saw. Those who have been critical have commented that we don't keep the ball on the ground enough. While we used the long ball to change the field in the second half that is understandable given the lead and IU pressure. We protected well. Not sure how McCoy got impact player of the game over Wright who was a threat anytime he had the ball in space. Wright did seem to get called for offside quite a bit in the second half that pissed DD off but all in all a good result. Last point those announcers were IU homers. They gave RU credit for the effort but talked about IU incessantly for most of the match. Let's build on this.
Great win for the men. Four different goal scorers. And the announcers were Indiana homers. Didn't help them at all. Go RU.
This is a signature win for a program that has been going nowhere since Donigan's first year, which we end ranked. Great job!
