I think the poster who said it was a back stabbing statement is probably the person who should send a video. It will be violent and will involve a knife. Sounds exactly like you are looking for! 😃
Does this mean no video?

Not only Georgetown guy but captain of the Basketball team!Tagliabue ... Georgetown guy.
Did you have a lot concussions when you played?I think the poster who said it was a back stabbing statement is probably the person who should send a video. It will be violent and will involve a knife. Sounds exactly like you are looking for! 😃
No but apparently you did!Did you have a lot concussions when you played?
You're very angry. You should do a video of you screaming.🤣
Here's the facts.Whitebus - Just so you understand the reason people being upset about this: This is not the case of being “thin skinned” as you say. I could see saying that if another fan or even a newspaper reporter criticized Rutgers. In this case, a consultant hired by the conference that Rutgers belonged to made the snarky comment to the New York Times. That’s unacceptable. Anyone who followed the story knew exactly why he made the comment, and it was intended to cast doubt over us having any value to the Big Ten. Of course Rutgers fans had a right to be upset - any fan base would feel the same way.
It’s not making up drama. It’s just a matter of sweet revenge being served cold. We are entitled to run it in a bit. Here's the facts.
It was 14 years ago.
We overcame that shitty conference. We are in the Big Ten. WE WON!
Where is UConn?
They lost.
Let it go. Stupid comment means nothing today!
Some people just love to make up drama! Laughing at old, stupid comments is much more healthy for everyone.
BTW PT was right.
I always found it ironic, Miami, VT, Syracuse, Pitt all leave. BC even leaves twice.Whitebus - Just so you understand the reason people being upset about this: This is not the case of being “thin skinned” as you say. Your timeline is wrong. The comment was made in 2010 two years before the lifeline. The funny thing about it was that the basketball schools were more mad at his comment as they were trying to separate from the football schools and Tagliabue is trying to keep it all together. Lol.I always found it ironic, Miami, VT, Syracuse, Pitt all leave. BC even leaves twice.
Not a peep.
Rutgers gets a lifeline out of the sinking ship and that jackass makes a comment like that.
Also find it ironic that Georgetown and all the Catholic Schools landed in a great spot.
If they had done that back in the 90’s ( split from the football schools), we might still have a Northeast Football Conference.
Don't disagree with you but how does that relate to Tagliabue's comment about the Big Ten was destroying college football back in 2010?Greg Schiano and Bob Mulcahey made a push to get more coverage in south jersey -Philadelphia.
They were told if you want more exposure you need to do 2 things.
Get more kids from our area and win.
Today I see a great mix of kids from that area.
I also see the Erasmus Hall, Holy Trinity connection. With our games being broadcast on the fan.
Are people rushing home to watch us?
I don’t know? I do know for a fact there is definitely more interest out there.
Maybe Lenny could answer that for us.
One other point. He should have been fired after making the comment. Here's the facts.

The roof on your house is most likely made by us.Until you posted it, I didn’t even know there was a company named GAF. I was not referring to any company. I was using GAF as an acronym. Use the context clues from the sentence in which I used it to figure out the acronym.

Don't you mean a GAFFE?The main reason Miami was the first domino was because they wanted to expand the football conference, and the brain trust in Providence refused because they were afraid of losing their power in the conference.
So you made a gaffe then.
We actually ran back a kick return ?Edwards' TD was on a pass play. Raheem Blackshear had a 44 yard kick return.
Aha! So it’s all your fault? 😀The roof on your house is most likely made by us.
Leaks are usually due to poor installation rather than the materials themselves. Make sure you use a good underlayment and a leak barrier at the joints. Plywood by itself will not prevent leaks.Aha! So it’s all your fault? 😀
I have a leak that has been extremely hard to find and fix. Is in an older part of the house that has hardwood board sheathing instead of plywood. Probably gonna have to rip some of it out and replace with plywood and new shingles.
Yes, the conference leadership should have canned him, but of course, he was an unpaid consultant. guess you get what you pay for.One other point. He should have been fired after making the comment.
Funny that most people have never read the entire interview.Yes, the conference leadership should have canned him, but of course, he was an unpaid consultant. guess you get what you pay for.
What does the trophy look like? The Paul Tagliabue Bowl game. F U Paul. Rutgers-Minnesota game was on NBC.
Great win yesterday. I had hoped we played better and we did. It was a nice Saturday.
Wow! Schedule an evaluation for your early onset dementia if you don't remember this straight out dis aimed at Rutgers.Wow the thin skin crowd is out in force! 🙄
No it wasn't. I remember the entire statement. It wasn't about Rutgers clown. It was about the Big Ten. I laugh at people like you that hold a meaningless grudge without the facts for 14 years! Besides why are you still so angry about a one line statement when in November 2 years after Rutgers won the battle dude. Maybe some Prevagen will help you with your memory but can't help with you being stupid! This thread has been certainly entertaining!!Wow! It was a shot at the idea in the media that Rutgers was a target for the Big Ten. PT, as a consultant for the Big East, tasked with stabilizing the conference, made disparaging public remarks about Rutgers. As far as I could tell that was the one and only thing the PT ever did in his capacity with the Big East.No it wasn't. I remember the entire statement. It wasn't about Rutgers clown. The real funny thing is Tagliabue just randomly picked two teams to make a point against the Big Ten in April. That 2010 season Rutgers went 4-8 and Minnesota 3-9. As I've said all along, he was right! It was a shot at the idea in the media that Rutgers was a target for the Big Ten. Following this Nebraska was added to the B1G, and the forward prospects for RU did not look good.
Commemorating the asinine comment, in a humorous way, by calling the RU - Minnesota game the Tagliabue trophy game, is a fun way of remembering that he was such an ass, but that we got the last laugh.
Don't try to reason with him. As has been demonstrated in this thread, and numerous others, it's not possible.Whitebus - Just so you understand the reason people being upset about this: This is not the case of being “thin skinned” as you say. It was Rutgers that was targeted, and specifically because news had come out that the B1G was considering Rutgers as an addition. The real funny thing is Tagliabue just randomly picked two teams to make a point against the Big Ten in April. No it was the Big Ten being targeted by his rant.It was Rutgers that was targeted, and specifically because news had come out that the B1G was considering Rutgers as an addition.
And he was not right. The addition of Rutgers paid off immediately with the NY Market cable subscriptions.
Wrong side?? Another clown with a Paul Tagliabue comment stuck in your head for 14 years 🤣I have never seen someone argue on the wrong side of every topic as much as @WhiteBus
Dude will tell you guys the sky is green for 15 pages.
The most perplexed thing is people like you have stored that comment in your head for all these years when the war ended on Nov 19th, 2012. We won dude! Wake up. Time to turn the page!
