Micah Clark on Defense?

Clark seems like such a well spoken, genuine, good kid. I wish him the best and I am proud to have him on our team. For the love of god don't play him on defense. He's prototypical OT.

IMO, Clark will excel on either side of the ball. I just hope they make a decision early and not bounce him back and forth, that'll hurt his development.

Players will most likely be put in positions of need over future potential.

I don't think that is true. In a toss up scenario, sure, but if a guy looks to have a much higher ceiling in one position then in another, that is where that player will play.

Let him block Rashan Gary. LT's are tough to come by.

Let Jahone or whatever his name is play DT. Or go recruit some big kid from Paramus Catholic, they have a billion of them. It's difficult to find a quality LT. Playing him at DT is dumb as hell.

Clark sounds like he can be a 3-4 year starter at LT, a can't miss recruit and potentially a high draft pick. If he really is all that, then it would be complete stupidity to move him to the DL.

I don't know what the story is with Bolds, but he's taken only one OV all season. Said he didn't want to waste one on RU since he's been a bunch, had a whole list then nothing all season. It certainly is odd...

I heard there may be some grade issues plus not the strongest of years on the field

We're not recruiting a 4star lineman? Why

Because he is not a fit for what we're trying to do here. Coaching staffs don't care what rivals ranks a kid. They care about their own evaluations and the dozens of interactions they've had with the player, his family and his coaches. You guys need to stop bringing him up. We aren't talking to him and frankly I don't know who is serious about him at this point.

Skoolie - you know as well as i that most posters have no clue what you are talking about. They only know he is 3 stars and have heard of him for a long time...
I wish the kid well but he may have overplayed his hand

Clark is wrestling right now before he enrolls in a few weeks. He is such a good athlete I don't see why he can't play both ways.
Half my HS team played both way, lol. He can too.

Clark is playing RT in high school so there's a chance he doesn't feel comfortable playing on the left side. Ash loves Kamaal Seymour so I don't see anyone beating him out the next couple years. Rutgers has a very good left tackle currently in Tariq Cole and Samuel Vretman could be he his heir apparent despite his lowly 3* rating. If you look at Clark's highlights on Hudl he's an absolute beast at D-Tackle so how do we know it's a mistake if Ash wants to switch him to defense?

OL

If he can make plays on D then have at it. If he cannot he will end up af OL. We need some playmakers on both sides of her ball asap.
