Michigan St sure seems overrated

I have a feeling they are going to take their anger out on us next week. May not be pretty.

Does MSU lose their #2 ranking for our game? #4 TCU demolished Texas today, 50-0. And #3 Ole Miss plays "ranked" (#25) Florida tonight in a 'big SEC night game on ESPN', one which they'll surely win going away.

MSU is far more talented than us and better coached.
We will see what happens, but those two factors are hard to overcome

Depends if Conklin can't play. Could be first round pick on the OL.

They have won the turnover battle every game I believe. Defense hasn't been great. They have also gotten complacent in 2nd halves.
Oh, and week after us they play at Michigan so obviously at least part of them will be looking forward to that game.

Oh my God! There's so talented. Why are we even playing them at home? We have no chance. MSU is going to be mad that theyve been playing like ass against scrub teams like West Mich and Purdue...Some of you need to STFU. Unlike popular opinion, RU is not Montclair St. You know what: RU can beat MSU home.

GO RU

One of my good friends from high school was dating Conklin last year. Kid is a beast.

I told her she was stupid to let him go, NFL first rounder written all over him

ZAP, do you remember a lousy Temple team beat a good Virginia Tech team about 10 years ago? They are more talented but if we can hang in there and not make mistakes. Temple must have been a 28 point underdog.

Both OSU/MSU are good teams but I don't know that they're as strong teams as their rankings. I think OSU has had problems with their offense since the loss of Herman and I think MSU has problems with the loss of Narduzzi. Not sure what personnel MSU might have lost on defense though.

How close a game is against MSU? I don't know but I wouldn't call it a slam dunk to be a blowout, say 17+ pts. The PSU game would have me worried though as I don't think that PSU is that good and they handled us. Could it be a blowout? Sure but would I take it as a foregone conclusion, not really.

I'll be rooting for us

Not make mistakes.

That's the key. But unfortunately for us, a penalty counts as a mistake. And we make a lot of them. And our HC only cares if we do so when it results in an explosive play...

Now MSU's starting LT has a broken leg and is out for the year.
I don't expect a win but I don't think it's asking too much to be somewhat competitive.

We're owed that much considering we've been humiliated in 55 percent ( 5 of 9) of our lifetime B1G games.

If Rutgers can't beat MSU next week, they never will.
I know Rutgers is not playing well , but they had a bye week and MSU didn't and has to travel to Piscataway.
I don't care what the spread is, Rutgers better win next week.

"Better win" and "has to travel"??? What is it a 90-minute flight?

Before people get giddy about Michigan St. not being good, keep in mind Penn St. is not very good and they abused us. Rutgers is reeling and sucks right now. No way to sugar coat it. Only upside may be possible coaching change. Signed a former Flood supporter who does not see how Flood can keep his job.

Well maybe MSU is a winnable game :cool2:[banana]:D:p
Need one since in the Ohio St looks flat, Indiana looking like a ball of fire thread, I said maybe the Hoosiers game isn't as winnable as I thought it was :(

I expect Michigan St to start playing like expected , when they play RU.
But it's nice to see a thread about them being overrated, which gives me hope for an upset ( and not my stomach)
when Rutgers plays them next week.

Spartan fan here. Your right, their not the #2 team. I've been saying that all week. But in fairness to the team, the past two weeks they have played the second half of each game minus 6-7 starters because of injuries. Their OL is a mess with both tackles out and then the new starter breaking his leg. I don't expect MSU to be blowing anyone out and expect a very close game next week. Hopefully a few of the guys will be back for the game next week.
