Just a very strange game.
If anyone told you we would have 460+ yds of offense- 200+ running and 200+ passing, with no turnovers...you sign up for that every weekend and most of the times it is a lopsided win.
First- penalties- we need to clean that up. Now, with that said- there were a few that were complete BS calls.
And then spotting the ball- how did the play stand with the MSU runner- it wasn't like there was even a question of his right foot being out.
Then, late game- JL at the 4, he was easily over for a first down.
We did not deserve to win that game but it was strange, very strange.

Personally, I think Rutgers got jobbed all game by the ref's. Rutgers got called for pass interference at the end of the 1st half and it was pushing off by the WR. That play setup the entire 2nd half. Then Rutgers had that TD called back, but scored later in that drive. We had double the penalties and always at the worst time. I'm so pissed right now.
How about on the last drive they automatically threw a flag on a good gainer and then they realized the replay would show nothing and picked the flag up. There was also a lot of obvious holding by MSU and very few called.
Yes but on the next step he was clearly out of bounds. Even the announcers were befuddled
At least we started to close up that middle where they killed the zone all 1st half.
BTW- I haven't seen running like today in a long time. Defenders were almost afraid to square up on KM.
If some of our penalties didn’t happen at the worst times (big gainers for us or 3 rd downs for them). We win this game. Gavin took a big step up today and had no turnovers. Kyle had a career day and now holds Rutgers record for most yards gained in B1G. Also agree we didn’t get pressure on QB.
