Hey fellow Courtsiders....I need to turn up the "Mike" for this announcement! Mike's Courtside will be enjoying its last weekend at 1 Elm Row as we make room for renovations, changes & growth! Don't fear though as we plan on continuing the parade by opening full time at The Court Tavern for Lunch, drinks, dinner & much more!
We will be enjoying the space at Mike's tonight, tomorrow & Sunday so come by and have a drink with Mike & The Gang as we remember all the good times, singing, dancing, laughing, eating and love showered by and to all!
From all of us at Mike’s & The Mike himself, Thank you for letting us be a part of your life and sharing our experiences with each other and allowing us to serve you for all these years and we are over the moon thrilled to continue to do it right down the block! So come this weekend to say goodbye to Mike’s and next week come say hello to The Tavern @ 124 Church Street. Oh, did I mention there are 2 pool tables and ping pong? Air Hockey & darts too? I will stop there and let you see the rest as it unfolds.
Free beer or shot to anyone that beats the bald man in ping pong or air hockey! Beat me 3 in a row and you get free lunch!!

Answers to obvious questions: Yes, Kiki, Inna, Amanda, Emily & Heather will all be making the move with us!!!!

How is this place, never been to it before?

Only went a couple times going back a few years ago and my opinion is that it was just an okay bar & grill type place. Nothing too special as far as a sports bar is concerned but they did appear to support Rutgers athletics. But IIRC they did host a PSU alumni group a couple years back for the 2016 home football game against the Nits.

Despite the name, I don’t think you could call Mike’s a “sports bar”, just a traditional bar with limited menu, nothing special at all.

I don’t really understand this. Mikes will be taking over The Court Tavern?, which is open again with live bands. If Mikes is inside the Court Tavern, then where is the Court Tavern ? or are they sharing the space somehow?

I'd think that the 'Mike's' part of the deal is the food & alcohol service and sports bar-like decor and the 'Court Tavern' part of the bar will be in it continuing to showcase musical talent in the basement.
...maybe
