Moglia seems to be pushing for the job

If we whiffed on all our top options I'd def take a look at him and give him and unlimited coordinator budget. Hire someone like Bob Stitt as OC and some defense retread as DC and let him be CEO coach. Can't be any worse than the guy playing pretend CEO for the last 4 years.

So "can't be any worse" is your goal?

Sheesh.

I would pass on Moglia , the risk is too great for a fragile program . But isn't it kinda against the law to say we don't want to hire someone because of their age ? Sounds like age discrimination to me . Imagine if we were posting to not to hire someone because of race or gender .

What?

Some people's children.

Sheesh.

The goal would be to get a million dollar OC on the sideline and change the product on the field to something more exciting. Top flight coordinators were not coming here under Flood and our current identity. It would allow us to take more risk with an unproven (as a HC) but brilliant coordinator without putting the pressure of a B10 HC responsibility on his shoulders right away. This wouldn't be a top 5 option out of all the options but the only way that Moglia would work.

The guy is worth $1.2 Billion dollars & at age 60 takes an unpaid assistant coach/mentor job at Nebraska. A Colonel Kurtz of sorts...I like him!

What race would you prefer them to be?
Given the racial makeup of the builk of the players, picking an up and coming black coach probably wouldnt hurt, at least if we are already stooping to the level of taking a such a longshot basically because he got rich on Wall Street. In other words - if we are going to take someone who isnt the most qualified, we should at least do it for reasons that will help the team.
