Mulligan to RU

Just watched his finals win in AC again. Dude could definitely use some time in the weight, but with his length, he could definitely fill out. Are we looking at him at 184? 197?

Is Correnti going 197, or moving up to HVY?

At the Rutgers Wrestleoffs on 10/24, Mulligan appeared to be pretty tight with Matt Correnti, who had previously verballed to RU. Great to see the NJ guys stay home. Maybe Mulligan's BC teammate, another RU Wrestleoff attendee, is next. Great news!

Another verbal commit, Brett Donner, should soon be ranked nationally in the 170 Pound Division. He recently beat Flowrestling's #14 and #17 ranked wrestlers at the Super 32 tournament.

4 top 100 is awesome. Grello is supposed to make his dec on the 11th. I love the fact that we are starting to get these BC kids. That will be huge for the future

Are there any recruiting rankings that show how we are doing compared with the rest of the Big Ten, or is a pay account with Flo really the only option? Our class looks very strong but I'd be interested to see if we are getting the recruits we need to compete in the Big Ten.

Sounds like a terrific upper weight commit. Do these guys sign letters during the early period or is that just ball?

Bumping to see if there is an answer to this one. Thanks

I would say this class currently would rank about 5th. I would lump them in with Purdue, Wisc, Ill. RU has 4 top 100 kids, but they are 64,67,81,and 87. Purdue-they have 19,54, 56, Wisconsin-has a 34,45 and Illinois has 48,60 89. Penn State, Iowa, Minn, and Nebraska have better classes coming in.
Michigan only has 1 top 100 but they had a big class last year. Ohio State is loaded and brought in a great class last year, but brought in the 5th ranked kid in the country(so is that better than RU?, for Ohio States roster yes, but RU needs depth).
The number 1 wrestler in the country is announcing next week and he will be in the Big Ten(I am leaning Penn State)

Is Grello leaning...I'd say who know's in that group who has the better class...lets see how they develop..

Nice pickup for a staff that is obviously looking to fill our needs. Hopefully, there is a heavyweight out there to compliment this class. $$$$

Yes, wrestlers can sign 11/11 in the early signing period. And obviously as fans we hope they do. Coaches can't talk about the recruits until they sign.

To answer another question there are a few wrestling media outlets that will do recruiting rankings, not sure if they will come out after the early signing period or later in the wrestling season.
