No. 11 Wrestling At 2025 Big Ten Championships

Harer wins! Lost to this kid earlier 7-0 We never put him underneath this time.
Honestly, how'd it take them this long to figure that out? I feel like we all had a grasp on it since mid season. There's nothing wrong with working toward your strength. Remember Ethan Lizak? He never chose bottom and was a finalist/multi AA. Glad he put together two wins.

Pretty sure Goodale made some comments this year that alluded to using the regular season as practice and choosing bottom as a way of improving over the course of the year.

So why was he still choosing bottom in the first match vs Tumbley at b10?

I didn't think so. Turley AA'd his freshman year and never got close again. He never won a B1G championship or an NCAA title. Gable has multiple B1G/NCAA titles and an Olympic gold hanging from his dresser. In returning for a final year, Turley had much more to prove to himself in my opinion. Gable returning is allowing him to attain goals he already has achieved many times over by steamrolling opponents and tossing quality wrestlers such as Feldman around like rag dolls. Gable proving what we already know doesn't compare to Turley rising to lofty goals which he barely sniffed.
Not picking on you LETSGO, but why does everybody on this board keep repeating that Turley AA'ed as a true freshman? He did not. He was 9-5 as a true freshman at 165 and went up to 174 as a sophomore and AA'ed there.

Maybe bc it feels like so long ago and bc it was the same year Poz AA and he was a freshman so it got mixed got up.

That I can’t answer. I think he should have taken top a lot more than he did this tournament. Just saying why the staff has chose bottom for most of the season.

Covid rules kind of blur the lines about grades. He AA’d as an academic sophomore but it was also the first year he burned eligibility so some people will call that a freshman year. Similar to being a redshirt freshman I guess.

Lenny Wolak just stole a bid from Lorenzo Norman at 174 , Norman will definitely get one of those wild cards , Conley from WVU will get another , Myles Tatkis from bucknell is ranked higher and beaten 3 guys with wins over Turley , those 174 wildcards are going fast

Nick Incontrera needs a wild card , Turley beat him but he’s 21-6 and has much better wins then Turley

I’ll be surprised if Turley doesn’t get a wildcard.. he’s had a couple good ranked wins this year

I have the Rutgers school pass and it wont let me watch the 5th place matches. That’s compete BS. Got all the other matches

Stall call really? With 4 secs left.

Holy fvck with this ref stopping it. That was not a stalemate.

Same here. I could swear I had access in the past.

Honestly getting sick of all these apps and different passes.
I'm able to watch with the Rutgers school pass.

Shawver blew this match. Really poor 3rd period and SV.

Stumbling into NCAAs

Horrible final minute and SV by Shawver. Better decide if he really wants to wrestle at Nationals or it wont go well.

We have had 46 pts since after the 1st session yesterday. Really an awful tournament overall when you combine injuries and performances.

Perfect ending to this complete sh*t show 0-3, well technically 0-4 in the last session. That was a disappointing two days.

Injuries or not, they are part of the sport:
Peterson 3 to 6
Shawver 5 to 6
Turley - 6 to 9
SCW 7 to 8
On Yara 6 to DNP

Equal:
Olivieri 6 to 6
Clark 6 to 6
White 10 to 10

Better:
Harer - 10 to 9
Casale 13 to 12

So we had 2 guys out wrestle their seeds as a 10 and 13. Whoopee!

46 team points. Very real possibility we have no AA this year when you combine injuries and momentum. Everyone says it all about March. Well its March, how did we do?!

I’ll be surprised if we get any all Americans.

Definitely not a good Sunday but man it’s hilarious which posters here show up during poor performances but were nowhere to be found when they beat Illinois or in the 2nd half of the Penn dual for example.

No secret why a lot of the posters from 4-5+ years ago left this place.

McEnelly ended up losing but he got the 1st TD of the match (when was the last time Carter was taken down? Might have been the first time this year) and took Starocci to SV. If he stays healthy he is going to win a lot of hardware over the next three years.
