My favorite "stat" - I don't recall RU having this many dunks in years/decades

Some monster jams today by Myles, Geo and even a couple from Young and a few others by folks I can't quite recall. Love seeing our tenacious defense leading to easy transition baskets and dunks. Does anyone track dunks? If we shot better from deep and the FT line, we'd be a dangerous team - we'll still beat some good teams, but not sure if we'll be consistent enough to win enough to make the postseason. But I do like the way the team is playing right now and UMass and SF Austin are a couple of good teams we beat handily.

Funny how you mention this. Have not seen RU play above the rim like they are now playing since my time at RU with Worthy and Waliyy Dixon and even those teams did not have the number of dunkers that we currently have.

Top recruits should be taking notice the level of athlete that is now playing at RU. Btw, Geo has some serious hops this season.

I think it is highly a function of guys with vision over guys who can finish, not that we are lacking with guys that can finish

Glad you mentioned Baker in that way. I said to my gf today that Geo is going up stronger and dunking more than in his first 2 years here. It’s definitely better hops, plus better strength and conditioning. He’s more explosive.

Love the dunks. They're fun to watch, but my favorite stat is 17-24 from the line (70.8%.) Correct me if I'm wrong, but isn't that good progress from where we have been as a team?

I think we had 6 guys with at least 1 dunk. Baker, Mathis, young, Harper, carter and Johnson.

I believe back in Bailey’s junior year, SI reported that he had 90 dunks (don’t think there was an official stat back then).
