The game was over. Look at the video again and you can read Joe's lips when he said, "what happened"? He wasn't going pull MM to the sideline and chew him out when the game was over. But, I willing to bet that MM heard it from Joe after the game.
I'll never stick up for a coach who says bull shit to another coach. It was totally out of line on Joe's part. However, I don't know what Graber said to him, but I do know that Joe did not want that play to be a pass in order to run up the score. MM changed the play on his own, that is a fact.
You don't know that for a fact, because it is not a fact. There was plenty of time for Paterno to voice his displeasure with his QB. saw the video. It is on Youtube. The game was not over. There was :58 seconds left in the game after PSU scored that TD. Enough time that Rutgers had to go back on offense.
Why do you think Keith jackson said the play "would be discussed this week, maybe a lot?"
Paterno had chewed out players on the sideline for a lot less than that......and you know it... if you are really a Penn State fan.
He was not the least bit up upset. If he really meant to run the clock out and one of his players didn't obey him he would have gone ballistic, just like he did on Graber for challenging him when he said bullshit."
That was one of the most classless moves I've ever seen a coach pull in college football...or any sport for that matter.
You say you don't know what Graber said to make Paterno say "ah bullshit?"
Well, it's right on the tape. Graber said "I didn't think you played that way."
How do you respondt, now that you know the facts?
