It was nice to see Myles Johnson back at the RAC! I hope he becomes successful in whatever field he pursues! Bright future for the young man. Key component of getting us back to the NCAAs, I wish he stayed 1 more year instead of going to UCLA.
I think Myles was eligible to play this year if he chose to. A terrific young man and - a true scholar athlete. It was nice to see Myles Johnson back at the RAC! Myles got a really loud and lengthy ovation. Extremely well deserved. Such a favorite of ours. And he looks great. It was nice to see Myles Johnson back at the RAC! That’s funny….Bo Boroski was also at the game. And he called two fouls on Myles the first two minutes he saw him.
He must miss the cold weather.Wonder what Myles was doing in NJ right before the holiday since he's a California kid
How many times can you graduate?Let me start the completely unfounded rumor that he was at the game to talk with Pike about enrolling and suiting up for the spring semester.
Edey won't know what hit him on January 2nd!Let me start the completely unfounded rumor that he was at the game to talk with Pike about enrolling and suiting up for the spring semester.
Hot shit!!Bo Boroski was also at the game. And he called two fouls on Myles the first two minutes he saw him.
I believe his sister goes to NYU.Within the last half year or so, my son greeted Myles in Manhattan. Myles was helping a young lady move into an apartment near her school, Cooper Union.
LOL! BB Forum Post-of-the-Year material.👏👏👏👏Bo Boroski was also at the game. And he called two fouls on Myles the first two minutes he saw him.
Agreed, always respect Myles but the ucla transfer was very disappointing. I think he would've been better off staying here for his final year, take a couple grad courses, then transfer to Stanford after his playing days were over.MJ will remembered as one of the better RU players.
I still don’t like it that he didn’t play one more season at Rutgers
Better off in what way? I don't believe he has any Pro aspirations so not as far as basketball is concerned.Agreed, always respect MM but the ucla transfer was very disappointing. A major contributor on a team that with him goes further in NCAAs--RU legend. Stanford > UCLA Engineering.Better off in what way? I don't believe he has any Pro aspirations so not as far as basketball is concerned.
I was sorry he left, but the silver lining is that Cliff developed more quickly.Agreed, always respect MM but the ucla transfer was very disappointing. Fair, but I think we would've seen a lot of 2-headed monster lineups compared to when Cliff was a frosh. Also Cliff could've benefited from going against Myles in practice another year. We'll never know of course, but I would definitely have wanted MJ in an RU uni last year.I was sorry he left, but the silver lining is that Cliff developed more quickly.
In a warped and unexpected way, Myles leaving may have helped Rutgers, by getting Cliff more experience, much sooner than he would have, if Myles was here. Please don't take this as a dis to Myles. I thought his leaving would hurt Rutgers. I'm just not sure it did, for the reasons I noted.
Nitpicking here, but why do you keep referring to Myles as MM? It’s Myles Johnson, not Montez Mathis.Fair, but I think we would've seen a lot of 2-headed monster lineups compared to when Cliff was a frosh. Add under rated. Could be the most important Rutgers recruit in the last 30 yearsExcellent player.
Great strong hands.
Myles Monster---but I'll correct.Nitpicking here, but why do you keep referring to Myles as MM? It’s Myles Johnson, not Montez Mathis.
I notice your "better off" calculation doesn't include him being 30 minutes away from his family instead of a 6 hour plane ride. I'm pretty sure that helped him feel better off.Agreed, always respect Myles but the ucla transfer was very disappointing. I think he would've been better off staying here for his final year, take a couple grad courses, then transfer to Stanford after his playing days were over.
I’m sure he could’ve transfered to Stanford as well. Seems to have ended up where he wanted anywaysAgreed, always respect Myles but the ucla transfer was very disappointing. Candidate for post of the year.Bo Boroski was also at the game. And he called two fouls on Myles the first two minutes he saw him.
Ok if you're pretty sure.I notice your "better off" calculation doesn't include him being 30 minutes away from his family instead of a 6 hour plane ride. I'm pretty sure that helped him feel better off.
