N Barnwell defers comment on eligibility at Media Day

With the summer session over this past Thursday, Barnwell deferred comment to Flood today on Media Day. Not encouraging, given that Flood probably asked for a quick grade on his summer classes.

Really hope he's eligible, would be frustrating to lose him to academics but it's hard to judge what these men go through being student athletes

I doubt Flood can push for a quick grade. However, I think that Flood loses nothing to let him practice. My gut tells me that if it looks like he is an unknown, he is probably not going to make it. Academic support usually has a pretty good idea about these things.

He's playing with the third team, he's as good as out.

He made a strange statement:

"My offseason's been pretty good,'' he said. "I've just been focusing on getting my body right, getting my body healthy, and just preparing, trying to get money. That's really it."
