Northwestern lost 3 kids to Michigan in portal so were they included in NW pre season?
I used the pre-season wrestlers that we listed on Wrestlestat. If you have the names I can check.Northwestern lost 3 kids to Michigan in portal so were they included in NW pre season?
The pre-season ranking are a problem. One of the Penn State wrestlers was ranked 55th in pre-season and finished the season 4th. A better measurement might be to use the prior years final results.Comparing this to the actual placing in the B1G tournament would be interesting keeping in mind that it’s a comparison between subjective and actual. I was a bit surprised to see where northwestern came in preseason.
Yep freshman will always start off barely ranked too… even if everyone knows they will end up being a stud. The pre-season ranking are a problem. Correct but the results are from last seasons NationalsSoldano and Peterson are sophomores?
U mean it’s nice they are young and ranked high for their weight class? Ayala is in Peterson’s class(RS soph). And I remember Pinto being neck and neck as best freshman w Soldano from last year’s 184… it’s not really encouraging that this isn’t the case anymore… he started the season off ranked top 10(184 sr really cleared) and now a bunch of new freshman 184 pass him in ranking..(including B. Berge whom Soldano beat in hs)..I'm working my way through the Big Ten freshmen's rankings. It was encouraging to see that Peterson and Soldano finished higher than any other Big Ten Freshmen in their weight classes.
