For me, I thought the over/under on RU AAs was 1.5, and I was leaning under. I thought that Shawver would do it and that Peterson, Slav, Turley, Poz, and Moore (in that order) each had an outside shot to do it, but it was (and remains) a steep climb.
- Soldano discharged and back in the hotel now with his family. Had a concussion and spinal contusion.
- Goody echoing what everyone here has been saying about Dean. Can beat anyone when he wants to attack but for some reason he chooses not to and he isn’t going to win those ride out matches. Will need to wait and see which one wakes up and shows up tomorrow.
Great news that Soldano was released. Hope that concussion (and spinal injury?) heals quickly.
Coach is equally frustrated by Peterson's mental block to not be aggressive and attack and shoot.
Through 2 sessions, every single RU wrestler has wrestled to their seed other than Soldano who medically forfeited and Cetta who has wrestled over his seed. What do you want
So if we wrestle to our seeds we get 1 AA? That satisfies you in year 17? Sorry I am hoping for more then 1 AA in the past 2 years if we expect to be even a 2nd Tier program.
I want to see everything trend upwards but I’m also realistic with expectations. If you expected multiple wrestlers to upset top 5 seeds today that’s on you.
This team is significantly better than it was a year ago.
As do all the top 10-15 guys at his weight. Poz had to gain weight to get up to 197 and the guys he's wrestling are cutting 20 lbs with a much larger frame and much stronger. He will be pretty solid at this weight for duels but never AA. Same story with Soldano at 184.
I'm not sure anyone who watched this team all year actually thought that except a few overly optimistic posters on this board.
I thought RU could get 4 or 5 wrestlers to blood round.
I expected 1 AA with the potential for 1 or 2 more.
Moore/SLav/Poz/Perterson are top 16 wrestlers who can make podium runs if they perform at their best.

As expected you're a Debbie downer as always ...you want a top tier result with your bottom tier wallet ..you get what you pay for
Wrestlebacks look winnable if RU wrestles the way they have all year.

I admit, I saw potential upside in numerous wrestlers. 4-5 could do it when stars align. I'm not sure that makes me overly optimistic or just excited to see guys mixing it up at times. Maybe both.
If the team finishes below 15th, it doesnt matter how optimistic anyone was. Rutgers has to perform at ncaa tournament. Big ten performance was great. Still time to grab a couple of AAs this weekend!
The over under has been between 1 and 1.5 since the season started with any combination of 6 wrestlers being the ones to do it. Somehow certain idiots here interpreted that as “we can get as many as 6 AA’s here.”
I think the overwhelming majority of posters here are hoping for 2 and would be happy with 1 as long as the rest of the squad is competitive while coming up short. Of course there are others who will be disappointed no matter what happens.
One hundred percent this ! I think some ppl have a little bit of revisionist history. It was always set at o/u 1.5 AA.
With a stretch being 3 or in a perfect world 4.
It's NCAA, everyone has a hard road but here's hoping we can get a handful of guys to put together some wins, at least 2 AAs, and a top 12-15 finish.

season started with numerous guys who reached round of 12 or were former AAs in previous seasons. Multiple all Americans really wasn't a stretch at the time.
Listen...a month or so ago there were a lot of us out here questioning things...but after the B1G's, and having 7 of 8 alive after Day 1, can you lighten up just a tad? At least for the moment?
We might be thankful just to get one if Shawver loses to Ragusin … cmon Shawver..
If we get no AA.. and that’s a real possibility now… this willl be a disaster.. hopefully that doesn’t happen..
No need to panic, Shawver has great path to AA. Others also have a viable path, I expect 2-4 in the blood round
We actually have great paths to Blood Round. Shawver is there and favored. Moore needs one and is favored. Pox and Slav have two matches but favored in both. Cetta winning and would have 24/26 next. Turley has tougher path. let’s get five there! I think 4-5 is likeLu to get to BR
4-5 to make blood round??!! We’ll take that all day! Hopefully it can happen tho….
