Yes Nebraska is not a "great" team, but they beat Iowa, meanwhile we manhandled Nebraska. Iowa seems to have some decent wins, doesn't look great on paper, but I haven't watched them play this season. Beat Sarahlose.

Regardless, this is good for us.

Garza was dominant vs PSU. Not surprising as we can see that PSU other than Watkins is very limited down low (their #21 is garbage).

I think if we can somewhat contain Garza (something like 15 points), we can definitely beat Iowa.

Garza went for 16 points and 18 boards against Nebraska... not sure what else he can do lol. The problem was they had their worst 3-point shooting game of the season at 12%... I'll be shocked if they shoot that poorly in any game the rest of the year.

Yep not trying to say that Nebraska is so good and better than Iowa overall; Nebraska is at the bottom of the pack, Iowa had an off game, but, it's just interesting we beat them by 17 or so and then they go and beat Iowa. B1G is definitely deep. Best bball conference IMO.

Actually, Nebraska right now is 2-2 in the B1G, tied for 5th with several other teams. It is NW that is at the bottom of the league, with 1-3 Ohio State and Iowa just above them. RU is tied with UMd in second place at 3-1. All others have 2 losses or more.

I should never listen to Wenzel saying that Nebraska is a step below with NW. He is insufferable as an announcer.

I knew the rest of the standings. if Nebraska lost they would be down there with NW but a good win for them. The better they do the better we look after that win on the road.

Good for RU, but the recent results suggest that the B!G is a mediocre conference. And YoUnG - you should love Bobby Wenzel.

Iowa shot 4 for 33 from 3-pt range. That is historically bad, and very uncharacteristic for them.

The other thing about Iowa is that they don’t seem to play very good defense. Usually have a good offense, but as with last year, their D leaves a lot to be desired.

Wenzel is right. It will take a miracle for Nebraska to not finish bottom 2 in the conference

We match up well with Iowa. Broken record here: if Myles stays out of foul trouble and we slow Garza, we have the athleticism on the perimeter to harass their outside shooting. They are not a good defensive team. I am sure they have our visit circled on the calendar after what we laid on them last season, though, so we better be ready to play hard all night when that game arrives.

Nebraska played well last night but they are not a good team. Look at their nonconference results. I will be surprised if they and Northwestern are not playing on the first night of the B1G tournament.

Iowa was down two starters last night, both great shooters. Bohanan is now out for the remainder of the year, so they will have to deal with that. But, last night they were also without CJ Frederick who should be back soon. Even with those guys out, it was still a quality win by Nebraska that makes our dominant performance there look even better.
