***New Coaching hire: Cory Robinson***

If true, it would seem to suggest a rather disappointing pattern.

Pattern? don't see a pattern - Ash/Hobbs have been exceedingly good about keeping a lid on leaks - yes, there have been some prior instances where wishful thinking / pure speculation about a possible move got attention & transformed into pseudo-news ... but the flow of ideas in process seems to have been eliminated.
- but this one could be very different -- it seems to have really been built off of real information from "reliable sources" - and the story has enough substance that it has also been reported that Temple has already put in motion a corresponding organizational move to fill the vacancy. If this fizzles it would definitely be a bad precedent - in several ways.

Or....... "Peace-out Temple............ see ya!"

Would be nice to get some clarity, which maybe there is on the Round Table, but this was posted 10 hours ago, about 10 hours after Shawn's tweet:

Yes- sensing that it is all just a matter of turning all the dials & pulling the levers - this does not appear to be a mystery to the folks at Temple - they seem to have accepted it and moved on - as noted by Knight Shift & - it has been pretty widely reported that - Larry Knight - was just elevated to a full-time coach taking the role of outside linebackers/recruiting coordinator-defense

AND
When you go to the complete listing of all Temple Coaches - there is no trace of Cory Robinson - they have fully updated their site - and have fully allocated the available number of positions.

and the Defensive backs are now shown to be coached by Nathan Burton.

The investigators of RUMBA-JK and Knight Shift have cracked the case.

I just realized after years of reading your avatar, MBA, must stand for the degree. All along, I thought is was for the musical style. So, what is JK? Just Kidding?

Hope this is the resolution of this chapter of the coaching staff saga - but still look forward to the official announcement.

regarding the handle - was never meant to be very clever - just school & initials -

Just waiting for the UConn writer to blow this one for us like the others....and Cory Robinson won't have a job and will have to go work at Pitt....

Robinson joins the Rutgers staff after one season spent on the Temple sideline where he coached cornerbacks. He helped guide the Owls to a first-place American Athletic Conference ranking in passing defense in his only season with 206.8 yards per game allowed.

Prior to his stint at Temple, Robinson served as cornerbacks coach at Toledo during the 2016 season. The Rockets went 9-3 and finished runner up for the MAC conference title. While at Toledo, the pass defense limited opponents to 220.0 passing yards per game.

Robinson also served as director of player personnel at Maryland from 2015-16. He began his coaching career in the high school ranks with stops at Calvert Hall College (2009-13) and St. Frances Academy (2014).

A 2009 graduate of Central Connecticut State, Robinson earned a degree in communications and a minor in business/marketing. He was a starting cornerback for the Blue Devils.

Robinson and his wife Candy have three sons, Rahshawn, Denali and Royal.

Not particularly related to Robinson but related staff news, maybe I've been asleep at the switch but I just saw Noah Joseph was made co-DC/safeties coach. I knew he was coming in to coach DBs, I didn't realize he was being made co-DC as well.

Interesting that he is listed as both D back coach and passing game coordinator. Seems a little unusual to have responsibilities on both sides of the ball.

Defensive passing game coordinator. Designs pass coverage schemes for the defense.
