This guy was allowed to play the whole game and will play next week.

No players were ejected.

That's a tough call, especially in real time. There was helmet to helmet contact, but there was some shoulder too. He definitely shouldn't have kept playing without being looked at.

Newton is hard to officiate as a QB because he runs so much. Though this was an obvious passing play, many times him getting hit is as a runner.

Even so, I bet this play will have the league reconsidering protocols.

If the NFL really wants to do something, they need to start a fining scheme with regards to tackling technique.

You really should not get a way with putting your head down. Ever.

You don't typically have this problem in rugby because there are few idiots who want to lead with their bare head.
