I hope not. We should only wear the "Block R" on the helmet IMHO.
I would generally agree...but the knight head looks great on a black background.
Black jerseys, red numbers. Black pants, red stripe.
Very good. Would prefer 1950s style block numbers, but I know the demographic trends are working against me. Overall a huge improvement over the clown outfits of the last few years. We are on our way!
I love the solid colored helmets with the Block R... PLEASE keep it that way.

This logo is often referred to as the Flaming Battleship.
The new one is soooooo much better...sleeker, more manacing and reflects our actual knight mascot more closely.
Hope they do. Looks good and sleek. Already see the all white and sure they will have an all black. We R of course the Scarlet Knights!
I'm not sure how I feel about the new knight head logo. It looks familiar, like someone else uses something very similar.
I did a Google search, and I found a clipart knight logo that looked almost identical. So maybe it is something used by a lot of high schools.
I would hope that Rutgers did enough of a trademark search to ensure that the secondary logo could be owned by the school, and Nike didn't provide public-domain clip art.

Def better...but we have become the block R...they literally copied every high school and d3 team knight logo...
I'm not questioning whether it is better or not. I am questioning whether it is too similar to public domain clipart. If it is similar to public domain clipart, anyone can produce t-shirts, hats, coffee mugs, etc., with the logo and not pay royalties to Rutgers.
Big fan of unis and the secondary logo. Our old secondary was pretty crappy. This one is intimidating, sleek, and symbolizes the culture change that RU desperately needed. Great job all around. Now I need some gear with the new knighthead
The Block R logo is a proprietary font. If you reproduce it, Rutgers can sue you.
If you use public domain clip art, Rutgers has no recourse.
I'm not saying the new knight logo isn't better than the old one. It just looks so generic that I am wondering if Nike gave Rutgers public domain clip art. If they did, then Rutgers can't trademark the logo, and anyone can reproduce it without royalties.

Maybe that second one could be for the Lady Knights since the knight is obviously wearing a scarf and it's definitely not snowing (I checked with RU#s so it's official).
I just can't believe they are serious about putting anything other than the block R as a logo on any uniform... The old knight logo was corny as hell, but at least it was kind of unique.. And it never touched a uniform in recent years...I think that logo will never make it to a uniform after its poor reception and ultimate realization that it is copied from Microsoft word...lol
its a knights head, there really isnt too many ways to do it without looking like something that was done before
Agree. I Like the uniforms but the knight head looks like late 90s clip art that's rotated too far forward..really cheap looking
