Please keep the updates coming. At work and can't watch it but I can check this forum ;)

I think you mean 70 pins in his career not in meets this year
Correct. I realized what I had said a day later. What he's done recently is - in his last 27 wrestled matches (he won others by forfeit), he has 26 pins, 24 of which were in the first period.

Clarizio , Cedar Grove won by pin. It was announced wrong, and then everyone picked up the error. Was just corrected.
I watched it, my eyes are going dizzy though lol

Metzler with a tough match wins 10-5, advances to quarter finals tomorrow morning.

He sure is. He faces Delvecchio in the quarters tomorrow. Man, NJ high school wrestling is tough.

Del Vecchio appeared slower and not nearly as in good condition as Melise. I expect Melise to at least Major him.
Acciardi (sp?) the number 1 seed has won both his matches today by decisions, and in ho hum fashion. Acciardi beat Melise by a point, very early this season at the Beast, 1 week after Melise finished football. Last year Melise lost to Brady at the Beast (Brady now a walk on FB at RU) and then Melise Majored him at the NJ states.

I think it's the same pattern, Melise gets in wrestling shape as the season goes on and then gets in a groove.

Hearing Nebraska seriously looking at Melise now. RU got Correnti (who beat Melise in the finals last season) and Mulligan at 197 last season, so not sure how much, if any, schollie money left upper weight classes.

Would like to have him at ru, but it seems unlikely with us already having correnti.
