Agreed. Maryland thoroughly dominated Rutgers for basically the last 3 quarters of the game. We could barely get the ball out of our own end, as the Terps were pressing high with at least 5 players and clogging up midfield.Glatz stole this one today. Terps outplayed us. Michigan plays Iowa today...if Michigan wins, there's a chance that Michigan vs Rutgers could be 1 vs 2 next week. But first thing's first, need to take care of business vs Columbia on Sunday.
Agree, Glatz stole it. Great game by her.Agreed. Maryland thoroughly dominated Rutgers for basically the last 3 quarters of the game. We could barely get the ball out of our own end, as the Terps were pressing high with at least 5 players and clogging up midfield.
We can thank Glatz and her 13 saves for this win.
I’ll take an ugly win over a blue blood Maryland team any day if the week though. First time we’ve beaten the Terps in the Big Ten.
What FH has done this year is nuts…only losses to #1 and #13…still have to play #2 and #9….
Huge wins for Rutgers. I really need to get my girls up to a game this season.
Agreed. We need to win on Friday. We will handle OSU or Sparty or Indiana in Round 1. I don't want any part of Maryland or NW in a Round 1 matchup in the B1G Tourney. This year there is a huge difference between the 2 and 3 seeds in the Big Ten Tourney. With 6 teams in the top ten nationally, the 3rd seed will face a top 10 team in the quarters while the 2nd seed will face a much lower or non ranked opponents. Rutgers facing a possible 6th seed Maryland team that dominated them for most of the game would be a major obstacle to advancing in the Big Ten and getting a top 4 seed nationally.
