Rain not helping. Biggest problem is getting out hustled. Looks like LSU has 15 players on the field. Not watching today. Just checking in..
Running concessions at youth soccer tournament.
Hope they comeback. Rain probably not helping.
Go RU
Rain has nothing to do with it we are just flat out getting dominated and out coachedRain not helping. Biggest problem is getting out hustled. Looks like LSU has 15 players on the field.
This seems to be a recurring theme with this team. Letting opponents score first in 3 of the last 4 games. Not good!
Mike heard you. Romano played LOB and Kuryla shifted over to CB in place of Banks for most of the 2nd half.Get Banks the hell out of there
MVP! MVP!Mike heard you. Romano played LOB and Kuryla shifted over to CB in place of Banks for most of the 2nd half.
Great comeback, and right now Sam Kroeger is the team MVP this year.
Dentist, don't think her play really needs more commentary. It speaks for itself. Just waiting for her apologists to chime in.Ok Dad you have a lot of fuel in this game Banks horrific just made a beautiful pass right to LSU for a goal and LSU up 2-0 12 minutes in
Good Recap....Just watched game.Banks didn't have her best game today, there's no denying that. I can't seem to blame her entirely for that first LSU goal: there were three LSU players streaking down and Banks was the only one back there. She chose the wrong player to defend because the player who got that first shot off was no where near her when the ball came down. Everyone on that side was completely out of position and frankly Brocious or Kuryla should've been trying to provide help defense in that case (though Kuryla was also way too high and probably couldn't have done that anyway). And Banks shouldn't have been ball-watching either. Just a complete breakdown on that side. But I've been saying the left has been our weak side all year. We needed Misal back like...3 games ago. But obviously we need her healthy more than we need her on the field. The second goal was bad no doubt about it. I'm not even sure what could've been done to save that. Looks like Banks underestimated how much she'd need to kick the ball or didn't have the space to get enough power behind it and the rain didn't help. I'm sure she'll get her legs back under her next week vs OSU. But it's become obvious teams are attacking the left side, knowing that we don't have our usual starter there.
Team looked completely different in the second half and really controlled the game after looking pretty bad the entire first half. LSU is a very solid team who got a tie at #10 Pepperdine earlier this year, so getting the front foot and looking as good as they did that second half is no small feat. I'm sure that the players got enough motivation thinking about a perfect out of conference record to well and truly slam LSU. Right now, RU is 1 of only 4 teams with perfect records, with UCLA, Notre Dame, and Harvard. Pretty good company.
To say Banks didn't have her best game is a huge understatement; She was taken out in the first half and then she gave the ball away 20 seconds into the second half come on we need Misal bad even with her not at full strentgh when they took out Banks in the first half there was immediate improvementBanks didn't have her best game today, there's no denying that. She was also pulled in favor of Romano for most of the second half. Perhaps, guess only, no freshmen were to see the fieldJust realized that Allie Post did not play vs LaSalle or LSU. Assume she is injured. Anyone know anything?
I don't think she is injured I just don't think she's that ready for top flight competiition; He got her some good early experience but my thinking is she is not going to play too much the rest of the wayJust realized that Allie Post did not play vs LaSalle or LSU. Speaking for myself, you are welcome.Perhaps, guess only, no freshmen were to see the field
Romano/ Kurdyla/ misal
Might be considered rotation . Or not.
So outside that the only subs were
Gutowski and Girman
I didn’t look at Lasalle but yesterday it looks starters were only given short breathers. In some cases Kurdyla comes in at OB and Giana moved up to mid or forward.
that would be my guess as the starters would have 6 days to recovery
on another note thanks to you and Jules for game summaries for those that cannot attend
More or less my thinking. There aren’t a ton of minutes to go around in the midfield when Brocious and Fluchel can go a full 90. The only midfield sub was Romano if I’m remembering right. Otherwise the forwards rotated a bit, with Kroeger moving down when Gutowski and Girman came in. It might be as simple as Romano being higher on the depth chart for midfield than Post.I don't think she is injured I just don't think she's that ready for top flight competiition; He got her some good early experience but my thinking is she is not going to play too much the rest of the way
