No. 9 Rutgers Women's Soccer vs. Princeton

It’s clear he has his favorites and allows some girls to make mistake after mistake and keeps them in instead of subbing them off for someone else. He has no vision and doesn’t see what we all see as spectators. Most only have one foot and need to get the ball at that foot or they are lost.
At times I will disagree with Mike on a player choice, But believe that he is very fair & that he has great vision. If you notice players stay with the program. And players know when a coach is playing favorites.

Yeah you don't see players leaving in the portal here.

Coach plays favorites? Are you new here!? O’Neill is probably on the OTHER side of the spectrum as far as pulling someone out no matter how critical if they are not using their head … our team has SUPER chemistry, NOT what you see on teams where coach plays favorites … and LOL coach has “no vision” we’re only 6-0-0 one of 10! teams in D1 still undefeated, after 10-0-0 B1G and Final Four … yep coach has no vision … you’re totally lost here.

I think he spreads out the minutes well and trusts his players. He allows them to rest and reenter to play in spurts.

Depth is the key and you can play those who are playing well.

Coach pikiell does similar in basketball.

And both Pike & Mike are very nice guys &, I believe, good men.
As I'm sure it is clear, I am a very strong supporter of Mike's & have been for the 9 years that he has been Head Coach, & of the fairness with which he treats his players. In the interest of being honest there is one instance that disturbed & puzzled me.
Last year both Kassidy Banks & Courtney Ruedt came in as Frosh CB's. Kassidy started right away. Courtney, however, played a great deal in one of the exhibition games & I thought looked very good. She didn't get in again for awhile but got some time again in one of the OCC games. Again I thought that she was very good.
And that was it for her for the rest of the season even as Kassidy clearly had some struggles.
People who had seen them both play on the club circuit felt that Courtney was the better of the two. As I understand it after the season Courtney had a sit down with Mike that went nowhere. As a result Courtney transferred to Columbia, which I believe has a strong program. Checked it out yesterday & Courtney has started at back in all 3 of their games.
Courtney seemed like a very nice young lady to me in the few chances that I had to speak with her. Kassidy is a very nice young lady as well for sure.
Believe that Mike was high on Kassidy right from the git go. Obviously don't know all that went into Mike's decision, but on the basis of what I did know & saw it is one decision that I have questioned & that has disturbed me.
Hope that things go well for both girls & am wishing them both excellent seasons & successful runs at their respective institutions.

Dentist, Lowrey may be that one. Believe she is a finisher. But as you say we have a number of girls who can find the back of the net.
Agree with you there she is 100% finisher in fact if those 2 passes to Daigle were to Lowrey we would have definitely had 2 more goals; I am kind of being a little greedy but I don't think Lowery is the kind of player that can just explode past people to complement Riley but I really think this team can compete for a National Championship again and of course we will see once this week and the big ramps up to see where we stand; hopefully we get Misal back
Were you at the game Sunday? Do you agree on Riley she needs to stop dribbling too much and look for the open girls as she missed a few girls wide open

Yes was at Sunday's game. Agree & have posted that as good as Riley is with the ball at her feet that she needs to move it quickly to the open girl when she has her. This team is moving the ball quickly & well. One player holding it too long unnecessarily slows things down & throws the off the rhythm.

The post you replied to deserved a dislike if we had that option.

We moved back up to # 6 in the polls this week. At least we didn't go backwards after 2 wins by 10 to 0!!

Believe the original rank of 3 was based on last years finish … think they started out 9th and rose to 6th.

Rutgers started off preseason at 6, moved up to 3 after the first week of play and than dropped to 9th.

Stats for this game. Funny how sometimes our own eyes can tell immediately who’s playing the best games!
