Yep. Nothing wrong with depth at the point or any other position. Injuries happen all the time
So what is the deal with second time transfers? As of right now, they don’t have to sit out a year but this might change soon? Assume he is not a grad transfer?
They can’t change the rules after someone already transferred. Can they? That wouldn’t be right.

We could have a 10 man rotation next season, with 6 of them having played at least 3 years of college ball (in no specific order):
1. Noah - outside shooting threat
2. Cam - outside shooting threat
3. Derek
4. Paul
5. Cliff
6. Wolf
7. Mag
8. Hyatt
9. Griffiths - outside shooting threat
10. Ndango
If both Cliff and Paul return, and Mag is a full go by January 1, we should end the season as a top 25 team.

I would imagine he stays as the 3rd guard (potentially 4th if Paul returns) and tops out at 10-15mpg.

The sort of ‘dog’ mentality that Fernandes embodies is a form of competitiveness he derives from one of his favorite players, Portland Trail Blazer star Damian Lillard. Like Fernandes, Lillard is known to hit step-back game winners, notably known for his playoff series-ending shot over perennial All-Star Paul George.

Still expecting Derek simpson to get 20 mpg next year. Don’t expect Paul to be getting guard minutes anymore.
Nice. And great to receive this commitment fairly early in the portal season.
It is great news securing a kid who fills a need (PG ) which we have sorely missed . #1 need to hold onto Ace , get Dylan and add to what is finally becoming a strong program as we were in the mid 70’s to 80’s. People knock Steve sometimes but he is the right choice for us at this time. The loss of coach Hobb’s hurts for sure the added possibility of losing another in Knight is part of college MBB . Actually they have been here longer than many expected. Stability is a key for success but sometimes new blood is even better.

I'm very happy with this pick up.
But be careful about the over 45% shooting percentage. That was only last year in a limited 11 games and 42 shots. Over his career of 250 shots, he's around 37%--which is certainly good.

Yeah 37% is good, just a guess but 40%+ excellent, 34% average, 31% below avg, 28% and below is poor. Plus 45% last year (in limited mins) means he's possibly trending upwards.
Are we still expected to get Ndongo? Report on 247 says he might be following hobbs?

Hard to believe he’s only 5-11, but his step-back makes him 6-3 on his shot off the dribble.

How exactly do they have those kind of projections? What do they do with incoming freshman?
No offense but I really hate these type questions. If these guys can’t handle some competition (from a 1 year transfer no less) then they don’t belong.
If this program is going to get better we need more talent (particularly at positions of need which this is). If these kids want to WIN and be the BEST they can be they should welcome the talent/competition. If not….later!!!

It's not an exact science, but I would think they compared past freshman at the recruit's position and the recruit's similar rank in their class, and get the mean average of similar recruits did in their freshman year? I think Torvik goes back around 2010ish.
