Nova clearly deserved to be in the dance over OSU/RU/Bucknell...said no one outside of the Committee.
Just started watching in 4th quarter. What the hell was the committee thinking? It's now 17-9. O wait, I know exactly what they were thinking give the ACC a cream puff that doesn't belong in the 1st round. This games a friggin joke, the committee should be ashamed of themselves for keeping deserving teams out. Villanova really sucks.
As expected, Villanova should not have been in the tournament. Rutgers never got abused like they did.
UVA plays zero defense. They're losing 4-2 right now. Long weather delay, over 2 hours due to severe thunderstorms that rolled through Maryland, Delaware, PA and South Jersey.
Virginia down 7 mid second period. good job by the selection committee. Next hope Syracuse goes down tomorrow.
The Twerps are LOSING to Robert Morris 6-3 with only a minute to go in the 2nd. This is NOT good!!
And ND loses. The great ACC the best conference is 1-2. With the only win by Duke. Now hope for cuse to lose.
And with Syracuse losing, the ACC is 1-3 with the only team that should have been in Duke winning. So much for the best conference.
Interesting that the #1 seed in the tourney drew a tougher opponent than #2, #3 and #4.
Good point and true but I think it is because Robert Morris won the play-in game so would be lowest seed even though they were ironically a better team that Richmond and UMass. Not sure about being better than Villanova. As it turned out Robert Morris was a good win for us. If we had beaten OSU we should have been in no and ifs or buts, that said between us and them, most would agree we should have been in over Villanova.
I think the committee has all but conceded that Robert Morris didn't belong in the play-in game, but was put there because of travel considerations. No wonder they had such an easy time of it in that play-in game...
Duke plays JHU next ... if they win, a chance to play UMD ... if Duke wins both, then no B1G Team in the finals ... hope JHU wins so no ACC in final four ... but think Duke wins that first one
As a Maryland fan, I must admit that I'm nervous about Cornell/Duke/Hopkins III. That's what happens when every win is by only 1-3 goals.
The Terps do have excellent coaching, though, and that helps. When they come out of halftime or even a timeout, there are always key adjustments made.
