the 9.9 HP is the most purchased outboard. Why you ask? 10.0 and higher require registration. You can just strap your 9.9 on your dinghy and tour the lake.

I had no idea. very insightful.
Personally I never chased the 10 point ohs anyway. Let me friends do that and was happy to get anything an 8 point oh or better :)
