NWCA National Dual / Rutgers vs Lehigh

Looks like the bouts are split pretty even based on rankings 5-5. If we win some of the close ones, which we haven't done lately, it will be toss up. Bonus points will be key.

I know that. The draw around 1500 fans. Game would be over by 5:30 p.m. with several OTs. Clear the gym, bring out the mats. Make it 7:30 pm if needed. $$$$

I am only guessing, but a 3pm televised game might take longer to get ready and a 7:30pm start time might not be enough time. The men have a game at 1pm on Saturday and the match is not till 8pm, so there must be reason. Locker room usage etc

Wouldn't we have a better crowd on Sunday at 7 p.m.? N.J. HS Districts are all day Saturday. $$$$
Great matchup but attendance will definitely be impacted by Districts. Wish this was Sun to get better attendance. Move WBB to the Barn LOL

Hopefully season ticket holders will get first dibs on their regular seats.

Great opportunity for the program to take another step. Lehigh was the first opponent I thought of when RU was announced as a participant. Not sure how the match ups are determined since one could make the case that Lehigh should be taking on a higher seeded B1G team but hey I am not complaining. May come down to whether Gravina can go by next weekend. I'd rest as many as possible against Drexel.

Just got my tickets, season ticket holders are NOT guaranteed their seats, it is first come first served!

Rutgers wrestling season tickets holders are not guaranteed their regular seats for this match. The National Duals Championship Series is an event coordinated by the NWCA and consequently, all tickets will be sold on a first-come first-serve basis

The matchups are set for the National Wrestling Coaches Association (NWCA) National Duals Championship Series. Rutgers wrestling, ranked No. 13 this week in the USA Today/ NWCA Coaches Poll, will host former Eastern Intercollegiate Wrestling Association (EIWA) rival and No. 7-ranked Lehigh at 8 p.m. on Saturday, Feb. 20 at the Rutgers Athletic Center.

They could have least given us the ability to buy our seats before giving them out to the public. Heck send us an email telling us the seats are online right now.

So now I can guarantee you there will be a ton of Lehigh fans sitting in the 100's .

IMO not a good job by RU.

Rutgers has no say in it.

Whats up with Drexel? I have two tickets and don;t want too show up if it's cancelled.

Spoke to guy at box office when buying my Dual tickets. Stated Drexel match is cancelled and they are still trying to figure out how to reimburse ticket holders.

Don't blame Rutgers. I was thinking the same thing, but logistically, there's no time for that with such a short turnaround, as it's likely a manual process. Moreover, the Districts being that day make it even harder to sell tickets so they had to open it up to everyone ASAP & automate it.

Are you leaving for the match now?:sunglasses: I think you will find out before Friday if the match is cancelled.
I just got on my unicycle..I'm peddling. Not doing so well on the highways though, with the salt trucks saturating me with snow and grit[laughing]

Bad Job by the Ticket Office. They knew about the match for a while. Loyal fans should have gotten first shot. Not the way to treat us. WNG, any reason why they did it this way ?

That sucks for you guys. Penn State just charged us as season ticket holders for an additional match and we have our regular seats. This format was determined before our season tickets came out and was accounted for in our packages. One of the reasons it was settled on before the start of the season was so hosting schools could get their season ticket holders taken care of, at least this is my understanding.

If that's true than I am pretty annoyed. I support the school in a lot of ways, but they handled this terribly. They have known we were hosting for awhile (way before the "announcement" a couple weekends ago, and did not handle this properly. They had every opportunity to reach out to the season ticket holders first on this. There are only 900 tickets, so that is almost definitely less than 450 people to reach out to. They could have called everyone in a day. Or at least send a mass email, and give us a 3 day window to claim our seats. Bullshit they couldn't do that.

The whole idea that the cost of my Drexel ticket will be applied to next year or "a donation to the team" is a crock. So I will miss this match now, which is unfortunate. And I would bet a lot of other fans will miss the match because of the way they handled this. I am not going to call the school to give them more money, while they apply the money I paid to next year.

I was going to say PS has said they were sold out for awhile now for there Nwca match. I guess when your that good u can be sure to have a home match.

All of the B1G teams have home matches this year, next year, all of the B1G teams will be on the road. This way, the home teams can schedule tickets and such for their season ticket holders. This is what happened in our case this year.

Saw that a Rutgers fan posted this on face book. Hope that Lehigh does not bring more fans than Rutgers:

Today I have received many communications from Lehigh University, the Lehigh Wrestling Team, and the Lehigh Wrestling Club promoting Saturday’s 8pm match at the RAC. They want to have more Lehigh fans present than Rutgers fans. They are calling it the BORDER RIVALRY as # 6 Lehigh faces # 14 Rutgers.

As fans, let’s step up to the challenge and PACK the RAC as we takedown the Mountain Hawks.

Thanks for all your support during the year. Our fans have been great and the team appreciates it. Let’s give them a well deserved send-off to the BIG Ten Tournament.

I doubt we knew at the start of the season or it would've been included in our season ticket package as welll. Step off the ledge cabage
TTFP may have known, as they're on a different level, but I doubt we knew until recently.

I don't know what you're all complaining about, but there are still a ton of tickets left as of this morning and opportunities to get great seats. I bought mine as soon as I saw the link and now have front row seats.

111 and 112 are sold out, assuming that is going towards RU Wrestling and their families. Still seats front and center or on the edges.

What time is the conclusion of the District tournaments (typically)?
