Jack Larson, who played Superman's pal on the 1950's TV series, has passed away.

Both "Lois Lanes" are still with us.

Men of a Certain age will get this reference. I used to love the superman tv series, did not like Batman, too cartoonish.

Great. Another perfectly qualified coaching candidate down the tubes.

Probably a Rutgers fan and it finally did him in.

And being from Southern California, and growing up in Pasadna, the thought of having to wait at least one more year for us to get to the Rose Bowl was just too much.

The "mole men" (or the Unknown People) episode absolutely freaked me out, was 5 when I saw it and it bothered me for years

Hopefully bow ties die with him.
OK George Will can be last out that door.

I thought I was the only one creeped out by mole men. The only episode I really remember.

Probably the one episode most who watched ( 50-60's) would remember and actually come to think of it... Steve Politi has a strange resemblance to those little characters being carried by the man of steel.

Early in his life he was the companion of movie star Montgomery Clift. Not that there is anything wrong it.

Still creepy till this day.

Me too. The 1950s "Superman" TV show and the people who filmed the TV western "Bonanza" were both very smart. Knowing one day that TV would be broadcast in color (the big switchover was 1966), they filmed their shows in color and vastly increased the odds those shows would one day enjoy re-run status.
