Guys if we play like this, we'll be significantly worse than last season. Norfolk St is very very bad.
I was thinking the same thing but maybe it's just first game jitters
it's the first quarter of the year with a lot of new starters. Let's give it a little bit of time before we throw in the towel. like what i'm seeing out of Rettig and the front seven on D.
our o-line is not impressive thus far which is scary against norfolk st.

Got to do better managing the clock though. Too many timeouts to save a delay of game, that's plagued us before as well.
I like the run by Rettig. I've never seen him play before this and some were saying he's not much of runner but I think he's more than mobile enough. That's really all we need. Might be a touch slower than Nova and I thought he was mobile enough as well. It'd be nice you had that home run threat in the qb position but it's not necessary.
Just being aware enough about when to takeoff and then just move the chains or get some positive yardage with a 5-7 yard scamper is plenty helpful.

Retting looks pretty good so far. Don't know why I come on this board sometimes. Too much bitching and sky is fall type posts but I guess that happens with every other fanbases
Norfolk isn't great competition but it doesn't mean you can't make some initial observations about his arm strength, accuracy and mobility.
When competition steps up then you'll be able to make some more observations, like in how is his poise under pressure, how he does playing from behind, 2 minute offense etc...
Rutgers is looking like the team I expected now, a good team. They were really screwing with my head the first couple of series.
Yup, was just going to say the first thing. QB hasn't had options. I know it's NSU and all that, but improvement from the first drive.
Think NSU will mail it in in the 2nd half. They have Old Dominion next week. The Battle of Hampton Roads.
