Offical Rutgers/Norfolk State 1st Half Thread

Look we knew this was going to be tough on the defensive backfield. At least they're getting some experience and some film to look at. We will win this anyway

How are their receivers this wide open? Its absolutely ridiculous. If it was a ranked team, I'd understand. But Norfolk????

Should a LB still be responsible for something that deep? I would think that a Safety should pick it up at some point. No?

Flood showing he is an amateur just running out the clock at half. Shows no creativity or aggressivenes.

why didn't Flood go no-huddle with time left in the first half? I don't like the way he coaches. Its a close game and we needed to score.

In both NSU TDs, there wasn't any pressure Lon the QB and the receivers were wide open. During those three series where they were 3 and out, our D was pressuring their QB and they couldn't make any receptions beyond a few yards.

Two reasons; 1. Flood has never, I mean never been the type of coach who thinks he can score points from anywhere on the field. He is ultra conservative!
2. His boy, Laviano is coming in the second half, and wants him to look good. So, that next week he can start him without debate!
Now, lets see if I'm right. Second half will start soon.

I don't know if we need to score, although even a field goal attempt would serve a purpose. More importantly, I'd like to see some two-minute drilll work.

I don't know who it was, but that last TD catch by the TE of NS, was one of the worst defended plays I have seen in my whole life, and I'm old. Who ever was covering that TE, looked inside to the OTHER side of the field on a pass play! Like he could have done anything to prevent anything overthere! His responsibility was the TE, STAY WITH HIM, you idiot!

BTW -- nice to have no TOs, but a little disappointed we caused no TOs. Not even an unrecovered fumble
