You don’t just up and quit on your team. I don’t blame his former teammates being pissed.Competition may not be the issue as perhaps someone in his inner circle being in his ear telling him he is better than what Rutgers offers.

No doubt. If he isn't taking a year off to get surgery on his knee then he went to help start a rebuild for one year. Doesn't really make sense except there are only 2 bigs on the roster that look like they got PT last year from a quick look at the roster. Multiple players transfer out. Going to take a couple years to rebuild so EO gets his one year with a more guaranteed role seems more likely. He's not going there bc they are a sure fire NCAA team that's for sure so it clearly wasn't about winning. If he doesn't get surgery than it wasn't that either. The remaining theory is scared of PT and even if he got minutes a reduced role on offense and less touches. Seems like the selfish me me me motive was most likely trueRutgers is going to be better than TAMU this year
Lol or this... Maybe bothTAMU has a lot of money...
It's big time athletics.....Yeboah was pursued because some are pretty certain EO was out the door weeks ago and not sticking around. Good luck to EO, anyone still out there defending him, good luck with that....
This is new "breaking news" type information. Obviously everyone would like you to elaborate. Thanks in advance.Yeboah was pursued because some are pretty certain EO was out the door weeks ago and not sticking around.
I am sorry if This offends anyone, but Less than a week ago he posts out of nowhere that he’s transferring, and five or six days later he’s already on an official visit elsewhere ...1500 miles away?!?
Sorry ...he has planning to transfer for a while now. No doubt in my Monday
And he was the captain of the team?
He is dead to me....glad he isn’t ever wearing the Rutgers jersey ever again.
We already did. We got Yeboah.

It’s just sinking in what a lowlife Eugene really is. He hid it well...as did Thiam.
Welcome to the new world of College Basketball. Transfers all over and basketball is probably on the path to immediate eligibility...like football.
It would be nice to know WHY the transfer. Like in his words. Why hasn't nj.com or rivals got on that? It’s just sinking in what a lowlife Eugene really is. He hid it well...as did Thiam.

How are they the dirty culprit?Guess we know who the dirty culprit is. At least it’s a university I never had respect for in the furst place.
It’s lol funny that you try to assert blame to the players/coaches for EO bailing. Eugene is a big loser. You don’t quit by not telling anyone on the team and announcing it on Instagram after friggen midnight and after the program scheduled a game in your home city just for you.I am jealous of you guys who can easily assess blame and be mad at Eugene.
I am upset Eugene is gone and I think our odds of postseason are slim and I know Eugene is the one who left but there is a good chance this was avoidable. There was a reason he left and various members of the team and/or coaching staff could be a part of this.
Time for everyone to show up and come in to camp in shape and well conditioned. Don’t want to hear a guard has too many responsibilities and can’t play 35+ minutes and hit a wall.
The identity of Rutgers basketball is what Eugene brings on the defensive end. Who replaces that. The 2 games after OSU were disgusting from a defensive effort. That better not be the norm.
Seems odd to me as part of a rebuild too but how can you try for a waiver with the reason being they wanted me to play this season.... And then play this season.Just speculation
Can't see Buzz starting of as A&M's HC bringing in EO as a 2 for 1.
Can see Eugene trying to get a waiver claiming being pressured to come back and play by Rutgers and jeopardizing his health if he wants to go to TAM.
He's a lowlife because he decided to transfer? Man, that is setting the lowlife bar exceptionally low. It’s just sinking in what a lowlife Eugene really is. He hid it well...as did Thiam.

The way waivers are handed out by the NCAA, any excuse for one might have a chance to succeed.Seems odd to me as part of a rebuild too but how can you try for a waiver with the reason being they wanted me to play this season.... And then play this season.
I guess get a second opinion from a different doctor or say rehab went better than expected?
You don’t get it, do you? It’s not that he did it, it’s HOW he did it.He's a lowlife because he decided to transfer? Man, that is setting the lowlife bar exceptionally low.
Are kids supposed to post on social media "I'm thinking about transferring to another school. Decisions, decisions" so that fans won't be upset when they do transfer?
Agree to disagree.Come on man. There is no guidebook on " How to transfer".
He was in Canada, called Pikiell and then posted it. Maybe he could have done it a week earlier before leaving campus....But, maybe, just maybe he spoke to his Parents and others close to him while in Canada and then decided. Did you expect him to fly back to NJ to tell Pikiell face to face? Did you expect him to decide not to transfer because of the scheduled game in Canada?
Like I said before, I’m not rooting for it to happen, but wouldn’t be upset if he busted his knee cap again.
Man on the floor. Child off the floor.
