I know we're aiming for higher things here, but its been since 2004-05 since we even had a winning overall record.

If you include Caldwell we will have 31 regular season games. On top of that we will play at least one Big Ten Tournament game. Theoretically, we should also play in a post-season tournament. The worst we could do there would be 0-1 (obviously.) So 33 games.

Get to 17 wins and we are guaranteed to have a winning season, even if we lose in the first round of the Big Ten tourney and the CBI (or whatever at 17 win team would get.)

If you dont count Caldwell, we would need 2 more wins to get there (if you want to say a guarantee of a winning record vs D1 teams.)

Either way, its been a long time coming.

Getting a winning season regardless is huge. It's been three fired coaches since we've even sniffed that.

@derleider sighting!

Since they are all coming out of the blue, Shouldn’t we be hearing from Ellobo and how Michigan is the best at everything since we play the wolverines next ...

OP is right. Little steps. Tonight guaranteed a non-losing season. As pathetic as that is, it has been a long time since that happened. Then guaranteed winning season, then NIT then NCAA. Guarantee Coach Pikiell would say something similar. Can’t get ahead of ourselves- the hardest part of our season is coming in February. Let’s see see how we do. Until then, let’s enjoy the wins!!

So it took a possible NCAA bid to get him out of the woodwork....who else may emerge lol. It’s good to know he’s alive and well.
Looking forward to the Finklestedt (sp?) RV trip to Spokane thread
