May 23 is now only 15 days away. I believe that is the day all players who signed for the NBA draft can withdraw their names if they do not want to stay in it. We of course have Corey in this situation but there are so many other players in the same situation. SHU has both Carrington and Delgado who are among the others. I assume Corey will be back but no one knows for sure what is in his mind as well as what is in the minds all of all the other players.

If they didn't land an invite to the NBA combine (none of the local kids did), the kids will be back in school....of course they can make the decision to go overseas and play, but it will not be because of the NBA or the draft, none of the local kids are draftable, especially with just 2 rounds of selections.

What's the deal with Delgado, why not draftable? Does his game not translate to the League? He is a dominant college post player and he seems big enough/strong enough to be a 4 in the pros, no?

In today's NBA if you're a four, you need to be athletic enough to guard on the perimeter and stretch the floor on offense. Delgado cannot do that - which would leave him playing the five. He's a little undersized and not a good enough rim protector to be an effective 5 in today's league.

Really good old school player. He'll have a great career overseas once his college career is over.
