The Ducks are down 21-0 right now in the aecond quarter. I think they are suffering from the same lapse in recruiting that we are dealing with. After Chip Kelly left, Mark Helfrich had the benefit of a few classes that Kelly recruited. The talent level has declined and the cupboard is bare. They are struggling at QB. This is the worst Oregon team I've seen in many years. Go RU!

Think it also has a lot to do with their $1.8million/year DC:

Their D is God-awful. 127th Total D. 118th Run D. 117th Passing Yardage Allowed and on-and-on. Yes, I know what our team rankings are like, not the point.

Anyone clamoring for an "experienced" HC should look at Cal's record under new HC Sonny Dykes, who came to Cal after 3 years as HC of Louisiana Tech:
2013: 1-11/ 0-9
2014: 5-7/ 3-6
2015: 8-5/ 4-5
2016: 3-3/ 1-2

B1G is is a little tougher than the PAC12 north too.

Hard to believe they were in the playoff just two years ago. Although the fall of ND and Sparty has been even more dramatic.

No doubt. There are PLENTY of examples of "new" but experienced HC's struggling their first couple of seasons at their new program. Just like there are plenty of guys taking over programs which had recruited Top 15'ish classes, previously, and are back at the top within 2 years. Some here need to get a little bit of a grip and realize the realities of college football and what we're dealing with right now. Doesn't mean you should be happy about the blowouts, or about losing 2 games we could have won, but a little perspective will make all a little less stressed in a year which, if you were paying attention, you shouldn't be stressed about anything.

Holy penalties in this game (and ALL legit). 25 for 259 yards with 3:30+ left to go in the game. Closing in on 4 hours BUT still 12 points shy of the 89 over/under which (apparently) is the highest in Vegas history.

Mind you game went into 2nd OT:

- 1086 yards
- 28 penalties for 279 yards
- 4 hours 25 minutes or so

...BUT the only turnover the entire game, lol, was an INT by Cal on the final play in the 2nd OT!

Goodnight!

Recruiting for Oregon/Cal for the last 5 years. Close. Oregon has had top 25 classes for 5 years, yet they are 2-5 and 0-3 in the conference. Oh, and they lost 70-21 to Washington. Is it the Brady Hoke factor? Great talent, but terrible on the field?

2012- 16/24
2013- 22/32
2014- 23/46
2015- 17/30
2016- 22/28

And WTF with Cal? They have been relatively loaded with talent since 2010, and their record has been not exactly world beating. Cal lost to San Diego State and Oregon State this year.

Cal's recruiting class rankings 2009-2011:
2009- 44
2010- 11
2011- 18
Their records the last 4 years under Dykes:

2013: 1-11/ 0-9
2014: 5-7/ 3-6
2015: 8-5/ 4-5
2016: 4-3/ 2-2

Cal is going to very nice bowl this year, too.
