results don't lie. Man knows how to coach D. It's the O he had problems with.
He had had high success as the D coord at miami and now ohio state. He also turned around rutgers relying heavy on d.

He's great coach on the defensive side especially when he he has the horses to implement his schemes. OSU has given up 2 offensive touchdowns in 16 quarters.
I believe the OSU d has scored more TDs than they have given up. Hate on him all you want, but you'd make a mess in your pants if our D coordinator got the same results.

I don't deny his D coaching abilities, but I think even a mediocre coach would get A+ results with that talent.
I'm pretty sure he's the guy who got D-Mac, J- Mac, Lefedge, Foster, Harmon, Ryan, etc. into the NFL......despite, I believe, none of them being above a 3 star recruit.
He's got players, no doubt. But don't blame our roster problems on him. The man can coach the F out of a defense, recruiting rankings or not.
