Looking to cast its net wider, a Canadian/American movement to create a World Baseball Hall of Fame at the place it where modern baseball began..... Hoboken, NJ. The first modern baseball game was played by the originators of modern rules - the Knickerbocker Base Ball Club of New York on June 19, 1846 at the Elysian Fields (the name is like today's Meadowlands, not just the name of the field but the surroundings as well).
