I read where Mangiro lost 20 pounds off of his 2015 playing weight to improve his 40 time, weighing in at a svelte 302 pounds.

He then proceeded to run the 40 in 5.63. I wonder what he would have ran if he didn't lose the weight? Would he have been over 6 seconds? Just wondering, curious as to how a 20 pound weight loss for an olineman translates into 40 time improvement?

Probably not much, probably a tenth or two at most.

Great, love to hear about Penn St on a Rutgers board.
I don't go to their board but know someone will be posting about something Nit here.
I'm sure that board is as infatuated about everything Rutgers as this board seems to be about Penn St.

Oh well back to what I usually do around this time of the day:

Back in the day I really hated disco music. One thing I would not do is listen to disco music just so I could point out to my friends just how bad a particular song was.

The OP is a known Penn State hater (not that there's anything wrong with that) so I have to wonder why he scrolls through Penn State sites and then shares these nuggets with us.

Just an interesting tidbit about a local kid (I live a few miles away from Roxbury). Actually, I have wondered the same thing about a couple of RU LBs that went in the other direction - both Steve Longa this year and Khaseem Greene a few years ago bulked up (i.e. sizable weight gain) for the NFL Combine, and that I'm sure negatively impacted their 40 times, and it would be great to know by how much.
