OT: Anybody drive/own a Tesla?

It would at least recharge the battery while it sits and extend its range while it's moving. You're welcome Tesla, don't forget to send me my check. :joy:

As stated above it gets a ton of range. How much does the average person drive that it would be needed. Plus, the super charger stations are available (check the maps).

In 20 years if solar cells are powerful enough it might make a meaningful difference... But, I imagine battery storage will be so much better it still won't be worth it. Plus, with the migration of the population moving back to cities commuting time will be less.
 
My uncle has one. I wouldn't necessarily want one, but they're very impressive cars. Acceleration, as noted, is outstanding. And the tech is above and beyond.

That said, you'd want to see if you like the driving dynamics, lack of sound, etc. The experience is simply different than most other fast cars. If you like the roar of an engine, this might not be the car for you.
