I see Rutgers didn't break the top 4 and is not in the tourney.
#1 MD plays #4 PSU
#2 OSU plays #3 Hopkins
Considering is it only a 6 team conference with 5 conference games I wonder if all teams should be in the tourney since you may have all 6 teams in the top 20 of the country some years. This particular year the 5th place team is top 12 in the country and reached #1 early in the season
The current rankings:
MD - 1
OSU - 7
PSU - 8
JHU - 10
RU - 12
MI - unranked
Maybe :
Day 1 (Wed): #6 vs #5
Day 2 (Thu): winner of Day 1 vs #4
Day 3 (Fri): semifinals
Day 4 (Sun): championship
The bottom 3 teams will have extra games so they will have a tough road to win the auto-NCAA berth. The back to back games also can give them a harder road since they may have tired legs or injuries. Not sure the academic schedules of each campus but Rutgers is starting exams this week so the lacrosse players (in my scenario above) would probably need to make up exams or take them in their hotels at the tournament.
