Bergen Catholic wrestling coach Dave Bell resigned from his position on Friday afternoon, according to a letter sent to the school community.

It’s a complicated story but wrestleoffs for the state tournament weren’t handled properly. They’ll be two kids noticeably absent from the lineup due to a poorly managed wrestle off process.

Huge bell fan, I think he’s a man of integrity who did a ton for BC, however he didn’t do a great job this week.

Wrestleoffs are dumb and should only be used in rec where you have a cut and dry explanation for the parents.
