Brian Lynch the St. Rose HS coach and former player is one of the candidates in a national search. Talk is possibly having the basketball program leave The Shore Conference in order to travel the country. I would think the use of the Brookdale CC gym would be in play for the crowds national programs would bring into New Jersey for HS basketball fans like me.

I always wondered about these schools that spend big money on high school sports? What's the incentive? How much could possibly be made on highschool game ticket sales and concessions? They give out nil deals in highschool now, I'm like who's paying? Maybe that actually nil dor local businesses or something..

To add to the Lynch to CBA talk, the younger Hodge brother is going to a Florida HS for his Senior year. The older Hodge brother is at Villanova. Both brothers have lived with Lynch family in his Belmar home for several years as a promise to Lynch's ex teammate he played with in Europe that if his sons ever wanted to play ball in America he would take them in.

Believe Hodge is going to IMG. Also, is Lynch's daughter still at St. Rose?

It creates national attention which increases enrollment and donations. Prep and private schools need exposure, and sports can be a huge way to do that.

Multiple Public HS in NJ looking at dropping Football.

They can't afford it.

Yes, a coach from Gonzaga College in DC and Boyle I believe took a job in Ohio since he was at odds with whomever he was dealing with at Montverde.
Yeah, I knew Boyle left, supposedly because he wasn't happy w the NIL support at Montverde. Gonzaga always a good program down there.

St. Rose is not happy! Broke all ties with Lynch immediately and his summer league teams that have many St. Rose grammar school kids. All his age bracket kids teams playing under the BLB, Brian Lynch Basketball will shift practice and operations to CBA. His daughter will be a Senior this coming season at St. Rose and has a load of high profile schools looking at her. I believe the plan still is for CBA to break ties with The Shore Conference, have a National Schedule and use both Brookdale Community College and Monmouth University for home tournament games. Should be a very exciting time in Monmouth County and New Jersey to see top national talent.

I honestly don't think it's a big deal with Hodges having moved on. Guessing Lynch's nephew will follow him, but St. Rose was taking a step back.
I'd still be surprised if CBA broke away to go national, they've barely been making waves in the shore conference the last few years. The former players I know have $, but not F U money that they'd have to donate to bring in that level talent.

Agreed. They are a middling program in the state and an also ran in the shore conference. This is not the cba of the 80’s/90’s where they picked and chooses who they wanted in Monmouth County. The only well funded programs at CBA are hockey and cross country. They both have considerable benefactors and allow them to attract talent.

100% correct!

Would be awesome to see National programs come to Collins Arena
Would be even more awesome to see them and other top New Jersey high schools in various sports play at Rutgers ! With the RWJ Saint Barnabas Center used for practices, the RAC should be humming constantly with basketball, wrestling, gymnastics, and volleyball.
